As much as I want to see D'Angelo out there, I wouldn't mind him sitting it out and taking it slow.

Didn't Bass keep playing after he'd hit his knee? He seemed ok. I don't like the sound of x-rays being inconclusive and more tests being done, hopefully the team is just being cautious. Dude has been an iron man the past few seasons and he's injured 2 preseason games into it with us, damn.

Russell fell hard.. Better to be safe especially if Huertas is coming in..

Does that mean Lou is the starting PG? Or Clarkson?

Praying the MRI and CT scan turn up good for Bass. It's troubling to hear the x-rays were inconclusive.

    Keep the faith though!

Clarkson will and should; Kobe should move over to the 2, and I'd slide Young over to the 3 or since it's preseason, start Ron at the 3 and experiment. Or you can start Williams/Clarkson/Kobe, but who is the PG on the bench? Frazier, Brown, Young? Those guys aren't initiators. By the way, I don't want this discussion a month from now. I'm so sick of injuries.

Looks like both Fish and AC Green were freaks. Every other player that wears a Lakers uni gets hurt, it's pissing me off :(

It's all precautionary imo. Would love to see these guys play together, but I'd rather have them be healthy going into Game 1 than not at all.

D'Angelo Russell (glute) is still sore from his fall on Tuesday and will be a game time decision. Nothing yet on Bass from the Lakers.

Fish struggled coming back from a broken ankle early in his career. He was an iron man later, but that's how he used to play... slow and controlled ball. He also built so much muscle mass that he was able to absorb charges pretty well. And let's be honest: he flopped too. :)

You know what? Players that sacrifice their bodies to stand in front of opposing players with all different levels of momentum heading for the basket, to get knocked all kinds of levels backward onto the hard court ..... need love too.

Smack my head! Not one, more than one contusion(s) to his knee. From any "trainer" knowledgeable types out there ..... what's worse a bad bone "bruise" or "contusions" to a knee (cap I assume) ...... if Brandon thankfully dodged the big bullet with something broken in the knee cap?

I want those kids to have a shot anyway. Play the starters so they can get their rhythm, but 2nd team should be the kids trying to make the squad.

It was good to see Upshaw and Holmes out there. I liked them both. I can't stand Jabari any more. His attitude sucks and his play doesn't really justify him being here any longer.

To be honest I felt myself missing Xavier Henry a little tonight. I liked him a lot better than Brown. Wish he didn't keep getting hurt like he did. He was a good kid.
