I'm not down on Jabari. He looked excellent at the end of last season and excellent in summer league.

IMO he is an NBA player. Can't throw him under the bus after one pre-season game.

rough game; didn't like his effort or body language, either.

    J. Brown is expendable. Quite frankly, I hope Frazier pans out and lives up to his billing as more of a pure shooter and better defensive chops. If he does, he's a better fit for this roster.

Yeah, I already said it, but with Lou and Nick, there's no room here for an undersized shooting guard who's offense is dependent around the rim.

Loved his effort in the first half, but he was exposed in the 2nd.

I've played with and been around people like that... it brings me down. They're super talented and they're in their own head so they're not trying to bring you down with their attitude but... it's just not healthy in a team environment. It reminds me of an only child kind of who grows up isolated and doesn't play well with others.

He's a hard working kid and I know he'll give his all out there, but he's also a moody player and even if he gives his all on the court will other players respond to him positively for 82 games? I wouldn't. I would lose my patience before camp was over...

I think I'd rather have positive influences or an open roster spot honestly despite his obvious NBA talent.

I think all of our young players require a bit of patience in their development right now. But that being said, there is absolutely no excuse for Jabari's lack of hustle getting back on defense after that 2nd turnover in the first half. His body language afterwards was awful as well. IMO, it's the responsibility of Byron and the Vets to give him the business for stuff like that, be it in the game or in film sessions afterwards. Part of what the Lakers should be striving for is establishing a culture where that sort of lack of effort isn't tolerated.

    Brutal!!!

I wasn't thrilled with his play either, but I'll wait a few more preseason games before comparing him the SF version of Smush Parker.

I think Byron's practices are going to have most people with dead legs, but should be especially noticeable with jump shooters. In that case, get this guy Bryant out of here! He sucks too!

He just had a bad half, a real meltdown. The first half he played well, good defense, some scoring, he was fine. The thing is, with him, we know what we have already, and as was already said, we probably don't need what he brings at the moment. Sure if injuries happen he can get a call up from the D-League, but with Clarkson and Lou already here, don't really need him on the roster opening day. Rather see that spot go to a project like Upshaw.

He already owned the D League, so the logical next step is to earn time on the big stage. Cheap talent that a lot of teams would kill for, so I think he's proven enough to make the squad. I don't see the backcourt so overwhelmingly awesome that someone bumps him off. Just don't see it.

Just pass the ball if you dont have a lane or on a fast break and someone is ahead of you. Dude was holding onto the ball too much last night. He can score, but needs to think before doing some of his stuff
