Hey everyone, I've installed a PayPal donations button on the forum sidebar, so If you like Lakersball.com it would be much appreciated if you made a donation of any amount to the site: HERE We have the best Lakers fan community online, and every little bit helps pay for the hosting, maintenance, and all the upgrades and addons I've installed. To any who donate, thank you so much!! -Robin
J/K, just dropped 100 bones in the bowl, and hope others will follow suit. Especially those that know what goes into running a site like this. Thanks for stepping up and putting this site together when our community of over a decade was in danger of being permanently displaced and disbanded. You've done a tremendous job, and happy to contribute. :fistbump::Yes: You da man! Here's hoping for many more years, and for the coolest, most unique Laker fan site out there to continue to thrive!
Wow, thanks so much Steve from the bottom of my heart. This will go a long way towards upkeep and such.
Will do this first chance but neither of the two "HERE" buttons seem to be linking to an active Paypal field for Lakersball. Takes me to a paypal page that looks like needs my sign in just to check my account, along with this message: Sorry — your last action could not be completed
Thanks for telling me. It works for me but maybe that's because I have it set to automatically sign in. I'll fix this later tonight. The donation button underneath your avatar on the main forum page should work for you though.
LakersBall smilies compared to rest of the internet's sites' smilies is like the Lakers playing a Jr. High team.
I continue to be nothing but impressed with just how good the Lakersball site is put together graphically and with its audio visual capabilities and so many options. What out there is quicker, and has the easy ways to such a great variety of types of images, gifs, smileys that are the best anywhere, color options, youtube clips, full screen, mobile ......everything .....than LB? For "fan" sites this has to be the best. So much more fun with all of that.
++++++++++++++ LB was down for maintenance +++++++++++++ Lakersball was down for about an hour to migrate to new server software. It was planned migration, but I didn't know it would take the site down. My bad -Barnstable
No worries Barns, thanks for me so transparent with everything. This site is the best. Part of me wanted to think that something big happened, but its not July 1st yet and I know it would take an incredible amount of people to come on here and cause this website to crash. Shame I was beginning to believe....
You know, I say this every other month but I'm glad for LB. So many great minds on here that create great discussions. We may not agree on everything but disagreements always lead to productive discussions instead of trolling. There's been a lot of traffic the past couple days with free agency and reading/catching-up on 10+ pages is really enjoyable. My basketball knowledge has increased since being here. Thanks everyone who made this site possible and everyone who contributes to the posts. Keeps me from having to read these kinds of posts every other day and trying to prove them wrong without pulling my hair out.
It has been heated the last few days with the divisive Mozgov signing. We had even-keeled posters teeter on the edge. For the most part it has been civil which is a testament to the class and character of our populace.
Go to your account, and to the link named preferences. That screen will give you the option to uncheck receiving emails.
