Alright, each clip I've seen of J Brown in training camp now he seems extremely negative. He holds his hands up when he's open and when he doesn't get the ball, his arms fall and his shoulders slump, you can almost see him making a face like he's pouting. Not a fan of that at all. I get the feeling he feels like he's not going to make the team, and he may be right, but there are other teams out there, you should never look like you aren't a team player.
Good stuff from those Day 3 Scrimmage videos. Clarkson is very explosive around the basket and showed good defensive instincts. Russell look calm and collected with the mid-range shot. Kobe..... well we never have to worry about Kobe being aggressive. I did like a lot of the pick and roll action between Clarkson and Kobe because it will get a smaller guy on Kobe if the defense switches.
I noticed a little of this as well. To be fair his overall demeanor has always been on of looking like someone who is upset or frustrated. He doesn't show a lot of emotion but I did see on a couple of swaggy p drives to the basket he was shaking his head and dropping the hands.
Each clip I have seen I wonder why they manage to always catch Bob out of the game and same with Metta. What's up with that??
:kareemsurprise::kareemsurprise:uke:Clarkson looks amazing on defense. Thanks to everyone who's posting in here. I don't have as much time as I'd like to view this stuff, so I appreciate your work compiling and doing the leg work
Oh man, I cannot even begin to say how good it makes me feel to see Kobe out there looking healthy and looking like himself again! It does my heart a lot of good. Agree with TRodgers, Clarkson on D! And his passing and finishing, too. He looks ready.
Some opposing teams are going to leave games against Tariq and Randle bruised and battered. Those two are Bulls guys are bouncing off of.
I think the lakers will start the season on a better gear than most teams. Probably all of the summer training of alot of those guys have a part in it.
I wanna see some videos of good defense, I know we have guys who can score. I wanna know if we have guys who will not back down. Clarkson already passes that test, but I already knew that.
Some things from those last couple clips: 1. Kobe looks almost in regular season form. Looks great. 2. Jordan's feel of the game defensively is a thousand times improved. He also looks much stronger than last season. 3. Russell's little stepback is going to be killer for a long time. 4. Huertas looked pretty good, but he also was having some clear trouble with Clarkson's constant pressure. 5. Wish we saw more Metta and Upshaw. 6. Pleasantly surprised by Sacre/Kelly. They again prove why they're end-of-the-bench material: smart players. 7. @Weezy you nailed it with Jabari. He's always been that way, but I've always hated that attitude in players. Head up, chin up, work hard. If he thinks he's not making the team, he won't. 8. I love the effort I see out of Anthony Brown but that young man needs to start knocking down shots or he's not going to make it in the NBA. 9. Loved that last shot of Nance Jr. with the ball fake and then pass out. Worthy has been working with them on ball fakes, it's paying off. 10. Loved the competitiveness. This team feels so different from the last two years. There's an attitude change, a chippy feel. I'm starting to get more and more optimistic about this squad.
It's weird seeing a Lakers game with Kobe not having the ball and creating everything all the time. It feels so good to have players I trust other than Kobe to develop and run plays.
Jordan picked up just one of Nash's "pre shot strokes" when shooting free throws. That's good. Similar routine type effect, but not as annoying to watch of a routine. :MitchReally:
