Lakers TWC Access Live Stream Yesterday was mostly conditioning. And nobody got injured (already an improvement from last year).
D'Angelo whined .... does that count? To his credit, though, Byron said he shot the ball well even though tired from the running. Not bagging on the kid, just needs to take a page from Kobe and never let your opponents know if or where you are hurting. There will be enough cheap shots taken by the usual suspects, no need to put neon targets on the best spots for them to hit. On the flip side, yeah pretty surprising to hear that he in fact did keep his mouth shut in summer league and played hurt a bit, even if it meant him struggling and not looking as good as he surely wanted to look. Very excited here about D'Angelo Russell.
Yep and Byron seemed very very pleased with that. I'm getting a better and better feeling about this team.
Byron didn't single out for the best in shape group Julius the Beast. Uh oh he's got the big head now and is slacking off .......
Watching these kids grow together is going to be amazing. We might, might not win a lot of games next season but you can count on this group to put up a fight.
Good enough to be optimistic, but recognize that there'll be a lot of work involved to try to get there.
I can't wait for the game Sunday, to see Russell playing in better shape, healthy, in a real NBA game setting.
like hearing that Russell is working that midrange jumper on the pick and roll. that's a place where his size at pg could be really valuable--he can get that shot against almost anyone (maybe not westbrook or wall, but you know...), and sucking defenders to that spot on the floor opens up the real money opportunities (rim and corner threes).
I'd love to see kobe doing more spot up threes and work off the ball around the bucket. but yeah...not sure i'll see it.
I'd love it as well, perfect way to preserve his energy and possibly career. He doesn't need to be bringing the ball up court anymore, and he doesn't need to be dribbling through 2-3 defenders on the perimeter. We have guards that can handle the ball now, it's time to evolve, it's time to do less and find ways to be more efficient, with scoring and with energy use.
