First, I love that picture of Kobe, Clarkson and Russell. It has to be something special for those kids to be playing with the guy, even 20 years in, he's this generation's MJ. He's unquestionably one of the greatest players of all time, living legend and all that. As far as Byron saying no one is out of shape, I buy it, because we have seen these guys in the gym and practicing for weeks now.
No injuries, everyone in shape, old players mentoring the young players..... I'm so pumped!! :jack::heart::metta:
It just occurred to me that this is the first year I can remember that we don't really have camp fodder. Not that we are bursting with talent, but we almost are a roster spot short, rather than trying to fill the last spots with bodies. Usually we have 2-4 guys in camp that you know are not making the team, but not this season. We have a few guys fighting for spots 14/15, and no one seems out of it to me. Upshaw, J Brown, Holmes, Frazier, these are guys we watched all summer or signed weeks ago or in Jabari's case, have seen around with the D-Fenders for a little while now. I genuinely don't know who of them will make the team, we could be surprised. There's no Buycks, no Matok, no Roscoe Smith, no Greg Somogyi. Eh, you get the picture.
