Loving Roy's interview. That man speaks a lot of truth. He has the exact mindset we need for this team, mature, cared about ethics, knowing his best contribution to the team.
The Hibbert interview might have been my favorite. The stuff about offense for himself being an afterthought, the insight into our rookies as opposed to rookies he's seen in past years (ours ask questions and want to learn, some he's been around think their work ends when they get drafted), just really good answers all around.
Phew! I was covering media day on twitter for Lake Show Life. Tough in the streets! That Roy interview at the end was absolutely classic. If he can back up his words with good defense, we're going to have a building block on our hands.
And can you imagine if Roy ends up being that building block and we got him from Larry Bird for a 2nd round pick? It's too early, but he showed some great intelligence in that interview. He knows what the team needs. This Media Day had me way more excited than the last two years combined. It had a completely different vibe to it. Honest, straight forward, no fluff, but a lot of hard working guys in there.
I think he's the perfect guy to mentor Upshaw too. We might have one helluva tandem up front actually, and that would be freakin awesome!
Need pics or his interview to show off Julius' 20 year old muscles mentioned above. Where's CaCHooka Man.... what's he been doing all day??
