Byron said he thought Russell was pressing to prove he deserved to be the #2 pick in summer league. Says he found out only after summer league that he was dealing with ankle and knee issues that he didn't tell the Lakers about because he wanted to play so badly. Said he saw some things in the last 3 weeks in Russell he didn't see in SL like quickness and explosiveness and now he knows why, because he had some injuries before. I think that's pretty interesting if true, because it would help explain some of what we saw in SL, and why the Lakers might have been more impressed with him in workouts that happened well before the draft and SL.
Kobe with his game face already. A lot of stuff has been on his bulletin board for a looong time ..... :jack:
Russell looks in shape to me, watching his interview now. Could be wrong, but he looks stronger as well. Also, this sort of thing should be obvious, but when it's pointed out it's still crazy. McGee pointed out to Russell that he was 4 months old when Kobe had his first training camp. Wow, ha ha.
Russell in person interview is a lot better than Russell on twitter. Said some nice thing about being a duo with Clarkson. Being part of Clarkson's success/break out.
i'm not seeing a chubby russell at all. Has added muscle and whatever excess body weight he has I'm sure will be gone in the next couple weeks.
Yes indeed. Where's realdeal? I'm thinking we got my requested 5 more lean pounds since Summer League, if Tim has built his legs up as much as the upper body we could see. Certainly he has made sure Russell did that. The full length pics with his legs and calves will be interesting. If not 5, bet damn close.

Randle looks like a beast, and he's only 20. He continues at this rate he's gonna reach Karl Malone levels.
