So a lot of TV shows returned the past week, anyone watch them and want to discuss? Theres Heroes Reborn, Scandal, How to Get Away With Murder, The League, Survivor..... Just to name a few that I try to find time to watch.
The League has been on and off for me, some good episodes and some bad episodes. I usually hate any episode that features Rafi in more than one scene.
I was big fan of the league, but i stop after 5seasons,the last thing i remember is Mark from Cuba but i might start watch it again. My definetly recomendation is Narcos, the best show of Year.
Narcos keeps getting recommended to me by Netflix but I haven't bothered to give it a look. What is it about?
Pablo Escobar, the Colombian drug lord who was responsible for 90% of the cocaine coming into the US. I think it said he was making $6 million per day, to give you an idea of how large he became. I can't recommend that show strong enough. First season is 10 episodes. I give it a solid A.
Great show, pacing is great,it never gets boring not even for minute. I will just say, jose padila and wagner moura= tropa de elite, one of best movies of this decade.
I concur. It was awesome! I love how they bring the audience along by showing us this whole perspective of both the DEA and Pablo's people.
Do any of you guys watch Ray Donovan, season just ended and I have to say that it's quite possibly the most underrated show I've watched.
Its a really good show, the acting is spot on between almost all of the characters. Unfortunately its another show that was slow in its first season but it has found it's footing now. Worth a try, its on Netflix!
-League: glad it's ending and on a high note. Love the show, but the past couple seasons have been rough. They seem to be having a very strong final season. -Ray Donovan: watched the first 3, 4 episodes and gave up on it. Sounds like they figured out how to make it work though. So I'll have to give it another look.
Was talking to a guy at work and he's a big fan of many of the shows I love (Breaking Bad, The Wire, Narcos) and he said Mad Men was really good. Guess I'll give it a shot. Never watched a single episode.
It was too slow for me. I tried like 2 episodes and I was done... even Christina Hendricks couldn't keep me interested.
It's very slow, but is a phenomenal show. Don Draper is a great character. Not sure how long it'll take to hook you -- different for everyone I know who watched it, but when it does you'll want to light up a Lucky Strike cig, sip on an old fashioned and binge watch the hell out of it.
Mad Men takes until the late episodes and Season 2-3 are really good. The last few seasons didn't do it for me after that. I picked up Sense8 over the summer and really liked it. First episode was super confusing at first, takes until the 3rd episode to get what's going on.
When I started watching Mad Men, it had 4 seasons out. I watched the entire thing and thought "meh". Then a year later I re-watched the entire series after Season 5 came out. I don't know what changed, but the show just clicked with me. It's now in my Top 3 along with Breaking Bad and Game of Thrones. I finally finished Narcos. It was really good and I'm looking forward to a second season. Aside from that, I didn't really realize what a drought TV was in this summer. I had no shows I was actively watching (other than Hannibal which I will recommend to anyone). Within the next few weeks, I'll have Shark Tank, The Last Man on Earth, The Walking Dead, and Homeland to watch. So stoked.
Yeah Summer is dry with TV shows, the only thing that I watched was Ray Donovan and Fear the Walking Dead. Usually for summer I watch some old shows or movies I might have missed the past year or two. Now that its "Fall" tons of shows are returning. Is anyone else watching Heroes Reborn? I find myself looking at my phone more than watching it. And its 3 episodes in so far.
I love The Strain actually. While I wouldn't call it the best show on TV or anything, it got really addicting to me, and I get excited to see a new episode is out.
