Limit his minutes (don't "Ronnie Price" him Byron), and use him at other times to just take advantage of very weak match ups. If he's turning back the clock with short minutes, in crunch time as well sometimes helping quarterback the defense and when physical play and / or strength is needed as required by the matchup or foul trouble or key situation or injury.

Again, I'm not in favor of giving away roster spots, especially when we have a lot of young talent fighting for them. And I certainly hope this doesn't mean we miss out on Upshaw, but it if it's at the loss of a Frazier or Holmes for a season (or even for good) to the D-League, oh well. If MWP is going to have a big impact on Randle, it's worth it, because he's our future. If he's going to show these kids how to play some D, teach them some toughness, then again, in the long run its worth it. Kobe won't be around forever, a nice little bridge from a tougher generation almost entirely gone is a nice thing to have in he and MWP. Just limit his minutes, because I love the dude, but he was garbage on the court multiple seasons ago.

Can't wait to see Ron back on the floor. And missing layups, yes. The season just got a lot more entertaining.

The thing is, as long as he's playing 3rd stringers, he's still going to look like a stud in every way except shooting from the outside... he'll still suck at that, but he'll look great at everything else

LOL yeah classic Ron. He's just so intense and walks right into you to get literally in your face when he's pissed. You don't f*** with him. With the guys we have on this squad, I seriously doubt any other squad in the league is going to think they can just punk us. As opposed to some of the teams since the two championships, especially with Kobe not in the lineup.

As a mentor for Randle I think this is a match made in heaven... But as a player I do hope he plays only 3rd stringers. Knowing b Scott he's probably going to play him more than I like....

I don't want him taking a spot from anyone.

Come on now. We have some "anyones" on the potential active roster that we'd be better off, for all the value gained, including limited situational minutes on the floor, that he can most definitely take their places. Just so Upshaw has a roster spot too. Kelly. Sacre. Much as I like him ..... Jabari Brown as well.

I'm still chuckling at Metta's fear factor. Trying to read lips, I think when Hansbrough, who's a physical dude, turns around with literally his eyes getting wide in seeing who's coming after him.... it's something like, "Oh... Ron .....My bad".
