The show is so badass. I'm going to go back and watch it again before Jessica Jones just to get back into that world. Spoiler: Stick & his friend In the comics it's a guy named Stone. Get it? Stick and Stone... Any who he's part of a rival group of ninja type guys. The one ninja group we kind of saw was the Hand. Stick belongs to a different sect. It looked like in the show Stick was "answering" to him in some way. In the comics, Stone is another one of Stick's disciples. It'll be interesting to see where that goes, but I suspect it links Daredevil to Iron Fist way down the road. Spoiler: Comic Image of Stick and His Friend
I love the show, but can't agree on the top level acting. IMO, most actors were good to great, but Charlie Cox was actually pretty bad, average at best. As the main hero, he should have done a better job. Agree on Fisk though, he was FANTASTIC
I can understand someone not loving his acting, but he was certainly average at worst. He was not bad at all. I think the weakest actor was the guy who played Nelson, but he wasn't awful. Cox, Deborah, Vincent, and basically everyone else was great.
^not going to argue with you guys, maybe he can convince me in th second season, which can't come soon enough
Well I'm just sayin' I think if you're comparing him to Leo or Bale then sure he's not great, but if you're comparing him to your typical television actor he was just fine. Context matters!
Totally agree, if you compare him to the average actor on the average TV series. But nowadays, you see more and more great actors playing in TV shows. As the acting gets better, my expectations do too, especially in case of a series i REALLY like like this one. Maybe I was too harsh with the initial assessment of pretty bad, but I still rank his acting average at best.
Hugh wants Hardy to replace him. I don't want to see anyone else play Wolverine, but it's going to happen. Hardy has shown the perfect necessary rage in Warriors and has shown in that and TDKR that he can pack on muscle. http://www.slashfilm.com/hugh-jackman-wants-tom-hardy-as-wolverine/#more-316009
If we see a new Wolvie I want it to be more comic accurate! Logan is a really short, angry, hairy man. If Hardy can do that, I'm all for it.
New season of Agents of Shield started tonight. Looks promising, they found their stride last season and this first episode is continuing it. And it looks like things are about to get crazier.
Man the kid playing Fritz is a great actor. Probably the best on the show. I liked the first episode. I thought it introduced some things to us and staying true to these characters. Should be a fun show again this year.
Fisk, the guy from Law and Order for all those years was great. Daredevils's partner was a pretty weak actor that I thought was more exposed in the last few episodes of the season. Like after he found out and did his "I'm angry and pouting" moments. Wasn't working for me, but overall a story I would continue to watch.
Yeah Foggy was overall the weakest actor, but it wasn't distractingly bad and I liked him despite his cornballness. Daredevil, Kingpin, Kingpin's wife, the Nurse, the train-wreck love interest were all fantastic. More and more teasers coming for Jessica Jones. I'll post them if I get a chance.
Holy s***! It's good to be RDJ http://uproxx.com/gammasquad/2015/10/how-much-marvel-paid-robert-downey-jr-avengers-infinity-war/
That's unconfirmed but he'll certainly collect a HUGE paycheck from those movies. That's why I was skeptical that he'd move on when he was rumored to. It just doesn't make sense to bail on Marvel right now. Too much money to be made. Somewhere Terrance Howard is still super bitter.
