Watched the movie, The Hunt last night starring Mads Mikkelsen.

The movie reminds me so much of The Crucible and often left me very frustrated because you knew the main character was innocent. But like many great films I couldn't turn it off because I had to know if he would get his due or if the people would finally know "the truth".

Odd flick... As a whole, couldn't seem to make up it's mind between a comedy or a drama or an attempt at a mixture of both. Not much to write about. I'll be nice and give it a C.

Saw Contracted 2 yesterday. It picked right up from the 1st Contracted, and it was pretty good. It's a very different zombie movie in that it follows the progression of the virus in people, and never really revealed a critical element

How the guy was spreading the virus through sex, but immune to it himself

I watched Spy last night. Lots of quick wit humor that you'll chuckle at, but nothing LOL. Worth checking out. I doubt you'll be bored, but I doubt you'll ever watch it again either.

Narcos on Netflix. If you're not watching it, you only have yourself to blame.

I'm on Episode 4 right now. Really good so far. I still wish Vincent Chase was playing Pablo though. He did such a great job in "Medellin"

Watched the movie, Locke, this weekend featuring Tom Hardy. Hardy was great and the movie got great reviews from critics, but I'm sorry the ending just sucked even if I should have known how it was probably going to end based on the premise of the show.

Still though, you can see how good Tom Hardy is as an actor where the whole movie was filmed with him talking in a car. Interesting premise, because you can easily put yourself in his position and wonder what you would do. But yes the ending was a bummer...

I finished the season. It's a really great series. The fact that it's based on true events makes it even more interesting.

Watched It Follows. Decent horror flick. Wasn't that scary, but had a great musical score that really heightened certain scenes.

Also saw Survivor because I'm a sucker for a Pierce Brosnan action movie. He made a great bad guy...and that's about it.

The Perfect Guy. If you've seen Enough or Sleeping With the Enemy, you've seen this movie. If you must watch it, wait for DVD.

    C- / D+

For a movie with such good actors, the acting was pretty bad.

For whatever reason it reminded me of the classic Trading Places...just not as funny. I did not find Hart as annoying and Ferrell's stream of consciousness riffing is toned down here. Aside from the art of kiestering...it had some scant humor. C-. Seeing Craig T. Nelson reminded me of his old TV series "Coach".

New premise about a vengeful ghost... Found two of the cast off-putting character wise. Throwaway flick but not really that bad. Oh and there's supposedly a sequel. C.

The Visit. For a horror movie, this was one of the funniest movies. A few scenes will make you jump and possibly scream, but the funny parts were FUNNY!!!

    B+

Check it out. A little slow out the gate, but once it gets going, it's fantastic.

I liked The Gift a lot! I'm a Bateman fan and he did really well in this one. Not really all that scary but a good little ride.

I'm not much of a horror movie type person but it did look interesting in the trailer. I can see how it could be funny at times. "Could you please get in the oven to clean" or something like that. :D

An old movie series, but I saw the Pulse horror movie series the other day.

The first one was really good. Very scary and hard to understand what's going on till the other movies in the series explain it a bit. Still the first one was the best IMO.

Not bad...not exactly memorable either. Smith was good but I enjoyed McRaney's character. Grade: C.

I thought it was a lot better than I thought going into it. Some good twists and turns.
