C'mon. A bit harsh considering he hit a wet spot with the first reverse direction plant with right foot (even if should have been left foot over there), which set off the chain of events.
Good stuff about the signing. I thought we needed a vet PG. I'd still like to pick up MWP too if possible just to have more veteran presences for the squad and the more I think about Kobe at the 3 the less I like it.
I'd like it too. Russell/Huestas Clarkson/Williams/J. Brown Bryant/Young/Peace Randle/Bass/Nance Jr. Hibbert/Black/Sacre That's how I'd like to go into the season. Let go of Ryan, let him find a home elsewhere. Let Frazier, Holmes, Upshaw, and Anthony Brown head to the D-League. If Upshaw is ready to play right away, give him a deal and let go of Sacre as well.
Yesterday began agitated. No meu celular pipocava a notícia que Marcelinho Huertas iria, enfim, assinar com a NBA. On my phone I popped the news that Marcelinho Huertas would, finally, signing with the NBA. I was investigating, investigating, I had the information there by noon ( as shown on Instagram ), but to "retain the source '' could not disclose the fact that eventually led to" Brazilian community of basketball '' crazy. O Woj, do Yahoo, soltou a certeira bomba cinco horas depois: “Huertas no Lakers'', como está no Yahoo . The Woj, Yahoo, dropped the bomb accurate five hours later, "Huertas in the Lakers '', as it is in Yahoo. Woj divulgou que Huertas assina com o Los Angeles Lakers por apenas um ano. Woj reported that Huertas sign with the Los Angeles Lakers for only one year. A informação que tenho é que o contrato é garantido no primeiro ano, com o segundo opcional por parte da franquia. The information I have is that the contract is guaranteed in the first year, with the optional second by the franchise. Os valores ainda não foram revelados, o que deve acontecer até sexta-feira. The figures have not yet been revealed, what should happen until Friday. Até lá o armador brasileiro fará exames médicos e assinará os papéis para falar oficialmente como jogador de uma das mais tradicionais equipes do basquete mundial. Until then the Brazilian playmaker will make medical examinations and sign the papers to speak officially as a player of one of the most traditional teams in world basketball. https://translate.google.com/transl...ho-do-lakers-o-que-esperar-de-huertas-na-nba/ From a Brazilian reporter; Interesting if he is guaranteed, and I think he could be. That's take us to 13 guaranteed contracts. J. Brown, T. Black. J. Holmes, M. Frazier all on non-guaranteed contracts.
Down goes Frazier .... down goes Frazier.... down goes Holmes too!! Out goes whitey # 1 to make room for Metta. Why we have Huertas at #2 now. According to some conspiricists who shall remain nameless. Then when Upshaw is fixed bye bye Sacre. That works huh? I like our remaining roster.
In a blessed NBA season with health ^^^ that roster with Kobe and Byron and Metta driving it with Nash's hands on training for anyone who wants it, plus Kobe freaking Bryant's hands on ..... same situation ..... any hard workers that want it ...... is in the playoffs.
Playoffs? That's optimistic. I think at best you go .500. Now, if Mitch can make a Pau-esque trade at the deadline, then I might change my thinking...
Come on. I'm certainly not alone here, in a lucky, no long lasting injury to the most key players season, with Hibbert in a contract year and loving L.A., the talent on this squad, us against them chip on everyone's shoulders starting with Bryant, in his best roll yet of player/mentor, to say we have a good shot at the playoffs. Don't forget too the last guy in my above scenario is Upshaw who's been Fixed and backing up Hibbert and Bass down low. I think you are under estimating that squad. You may be right, but I think we definitely have a shot with HEALTH. Can play bully ball as well as get out and run, both as a big team and as a real physical small ball team.
Pau type trade candidates (high contracts, not-likely playoff bound, and not happy w/current team): Joe Johnson, Carmelo Anthony, DeMarcus Cousins, Joakim Noah, Rudy Gay, Kenneth Faried, DeMar Derozan, Jeff Green, Trevor Ariza, Jeff Teague, Brandon Jennings, Anthony Bennett... Matching contracts would be extremely difficult. I don't know what kind of moves the Lakers would want to make at the deadline, but someone like Faried or Derozan or Green would be interesting.
Umm, I think you're incredibly optimistic. I believe we're on an upward trajectory, and even if we don't make the PO's but have 36 wins, that's a successful year to me.
Of course ..... maybe I am. But a full season with reasonable health and Kobe especially needing to be healthy, this is a squad that can catch lightning in a bottle. All kinds of flexibility and depth to handle match ups and foul trouble, and I saw Upshaw move his feet almost like Willie Cauley Stein, fixed and backing up again two guys down low who are not slouches. I expect a healthy Kobe to have a good year. That's huge if it happens. Health!! Is my caveat.
Yeah, it takes a year or two for a team to really gel, and in the West, if your team hasn't gelled yet, you're probably not even making the 8th spot without some big superstars (which I hope our 3 young guys turn out to be)
