They may have to fumigate the place to get her out.

I don’t know what you all are on about. If given the choice between these pieces of s*** and Jeanie I take her all the time and twice on Sunday.

If this somehow torpedoes the sale, even better.

Just spoke about that earlier. If this move gets those scumbags to bow out, I’m for it.

Jeanie can’t continue to run this, she doesn’t have the money to compete. We currently don’t even have a scouting department, they were all fired. We’ve brought in multiple people on the business side that would probably have to be let go as well, and on the basketball side our FO would remain Rob, Kurt, and who the hell knows. We reportedly regularly offer assistant coaches less than most other franchises, we don’t employ a shooting coach, we can’t continue on this way in the modern NBA.

I could see being a bigger fan of Jeanie if she employed the best of the best to run the basketball side, to fill in where she doesn’t have the knowledge, but she doesn’t. She employs people who used to be Lakers or who were friends with Kobe. We need to look beyond that, so I’m ready to move on to the unknown. Could absolutely be worse than it is now, but it could also be better, and we haven’t been good enough to compete for a title since 21, so Jeanie isn’t getting the job done. She’s always showing me right now she’s about holding onto her control over making the franchise look bad or what may be best for the Lakers, so I’m done with the Buss family.

Eh. Sorry not sorry. Jeannie can go.

Jeannie is just as bad as any of the rest of them. She tried to have her money and power too and appears to have played herself. She will drag this whole thing out but she's a goner and she knows it. This is just about her trying to save face and maintain power.

This should not impact the sale. However, given that Walter appears to be a bigger fraud than anyone else involved, it's getting harder and harder for me to not see the sale as likely a good thing.

And as long as I'm on my soapbox, I hate to say it but given that we don't even have the full names of the ownership group yet, a lot of the hoopla about them is feeling like a weird mix of MAGA hate on one end and xenophobia on the other.

I'd like to at least know who the other investors are before passing full judgement.

Also, keep in mind, that 12.5 billion valuation of the team helps the other owners in a number of ways. Everyone will be able to point to that value to potentially raise the valuations of their own teams.

Hmm, I really think Jeanie's decision to sell the Lakers was in good faith, intending to 1) modernize the mom-and-pop infrastructure with analytical expertise, 2) safeguard our financial competitiveness against other teams with limitless bank rolls, and 3) preserve the Buss involvement/legacy with the Lakers. Money is probably far down the list of priorities for a 64-year old multi-milllionaire with no children.

Walter is the real scumbag here. I'm willing to give Jeanie a bit more time to digest and figure out what's necessary to remain governor.
