I'm thinking Grimes, because Walker isn't a big offensive threat. Sexton can score, and he says that he's been studying, defensive tape of Smart. Lol..I don't think it's that simple.

Probably but you have two great feeders who can get the ball to Kessler, so that alone could make him the third option. It is going to be fun to see how this actually plays out. There is a reason that Luka specifically wanted Kessler. Hopefully that dynamic comes to fruition.

Perhaps but honestly I haven't seen any big jump in production, from the bigs that played with Luka, over thier stats before playing with Luka. Gafford, Hayes or Ayton.

I think it's by committee. Grimes will average +15ppg. Sexton too. Kessler should be close. Mamu in the 12ppg range. Then the other depends on minutes.

But from a scoring standpoint, I think it will be like this: Luka > AR > Grimes > Sexton > Kessler > Mamu

Kessler isn’t an offensive option, he will finish pick and rolls which are dictated by our guards or spot up for an open 3 also dictated by the guards.

Most likely it’ll go: Luka - Reaves - Sexton - Grimes

Yeah, I agree with this. Luka will maximize the other players in the starting unit. Grimes about 15ppg, Kessler 14.5ppg, Sexton 15ppg off the bench.

By that logic, you could say Kareem and Shaq were not offensive options because their touches were entirely dictated by the guards.

Kessler is going to surprise a few folks with how he impacts our offense, not just our D.

Kessler is not a scrub like Kwame was. It's one of his best games of career. It's not by accident he grabbed 25 rebounds and 8 had blocks

he's not a low post option like jokic or embiid or even AD. that said, most teams don't even use that, anyway, and i think he's got more than lob catching--specifically, i think he can make decisions in the middle of the court and put the ball on the floor for a couple dribbles if needed.

i'd prefer he not step out and shoot threes, but supposedly that's a thing that's possible, too.

Really? Good lord are we talking about the same Walker Kessler from Utah?

Kareem and Shaq? Wow...I'm all for optimism but Walker Kessler is nothing like either of those guys. The GOAT and one of the most dominant physically dominant Centers of All Time in Shaq.

No my man..that's CAP. He's big though.

I understand that you aren't saying he's that caliber and all, but he's not similar to them at all either.

Man..if folks are expecting Walker Kessler,to be a potential 20/15 guy or something..they will most likely be disappointed.

well, given there are no 20/15 guys...

i'm expecting about 12-14/10-12 and elite rim protection. that's worth the salary and then some these days.

This is the most plausible, just depends on how Kessler is integrated with Luka and AR. The other guys are more on their own. Perhaps.

C'mon Slick, I know you are not that dense. The specific comparison was that Kessler could not be considered an offensive option because he was completely dependent on the guards for his touches. I mentioned Cap and Shaq as super obvious proof that a Big can be an offensive option while at the same time being 100% dependent on the guards for their touches.

That's cool..I said somewhere..peak Gobert type performance on D..and he'd be awesome. Scoring is extra gravy.

hey I'm the pessimist, and I'm not worried about Kessler's offense at all.

If he can average 15/12 and make NBA All-Defense, I think we'll all be happy with him.

if this team ends up sucking, it's unlikely it will be Kessler's fault.
