Where’s the “hearts on fire” track instead of this sappy, sad song for the reel?

This is nice, Walker Kessler ( aka Robert Parrish) is coming into his own. I was watching the Sexton work as well. We have so many options, camp is going a blast as players put it on the line to earn minutes. Make them earn it JJ and then you have to reward them.

in the second sequence he does a euro step/drop off/gortat screen and...that's pretty impressive even against practice dummies.

I’m seeing 80s Jazz flashbacks. I was rewatching Jazz vs Showtime Lakers recently and Utah started 4 white guys and the Mailman

Kessler is not a scrub, but we overpaid here IMO. Blocking shots doesn't automatically translate, into good team defense. The Knicks had a good defense, best defense in the playoffs, and were the 29th ranked team in blocked shots last season.

He's getting hyped up a bit much, like he's a potential DPOY, or All Defense team guy. With a career 10 pts 9 rebs 2.5 blks...decent big numbers, but 30M per and 2FRP?

I wasn't in love with this move.

Understandable take, but I talked to sirronstuff and he is ecstatic that we are now the 80s Jazz with Big Kess as Mark Eaton

I understand your thoughts here but I think we are going to be clanking mugs together once the season starts. Either celebrating or drowning our sorrows...lol. I am confident it will be celebrating!

I think as good as Kessler is going to be for us going forward this overpay talk is overblown. Utah wasn’t going to let it happen to US for less with the picks and HE was the top get we most wanted. Plus his dollars per year are going to be a bargain. A lot of the overpay talk, for the guys they targeted and had wait on hold while Walker had to play out …. is the glass half full “what if they aren’t that good for us”? Then we’re screwed. Well if they’re great fits and do play well and contribute to winning, then we did good. Two opposite ways to look at it and both are possible.

Top 3 in the league in rim protection, offensive rebounding and FG%.

We went and got our guy, immediately transitioning from losing a top20 player for nothing without dropping a tier in our title contention odds.

    Great move by the FO

With the way the game is played today, mobile bigs are more valuable, than traditional bigs. Gobert is the gold standard for traditional bigs and he can be neutralized. You'd prefer both, probably with the mobile guy being the higher paid.

    Minnesota had Kat/Gobert
    Knicks KAT/ Robinson
    Spurs Wemby/Kornett
    Thunder Hartenstein/Holmgren

    I thought AD/Kessler was a great idea.

The deal is done;we can't take it back. At the end of the day..we're going to ride or die with our boys, whether we agree with the FO decisions or not.

You never know...I might be the one talking you two guys off the ledge by February. Or you will be saying "See? Told you!"
