For me, this morning, the site is back to the slow loads it had before. Something weird is going on with this server.
My WiFi has been slow the past three days, so I didn’t notice the difference, but I’ll see if I can figure out what’s slowing things down
it most certainly is the site. the likelyhood of some sort of a network partition or impairment that impacts both you and me is near 0. When I say the site, I mean, non-network part. I would start from the CDN, as the behavior of intermittent fast and slow loading times is very typical of a bad caching configuration, where slow requests miss and quick requests hit the cache -- the CDN.
what is strange is that it rarely EVER did this before the last couple of months or so. It strikes me as a server upgrade in the background and a piece of software for the forum that is not running optimally anymore.
