I want to see in pre-season games Bronny who’s got some nice passing skills on the floor together with Thiero and Carr. He’s already got chemistry with Adou from last year. That’s 3 elite athletes with great developing skills, speed and elite verticality. There’s lots of options that could be paired with them. And no problem finding 2 more good and athletic defensive players in doing that from our roster now. Talk about your “Banshee” potential on the perimeter if one of those defenders is Kessler in the key.

This roster is pretty much every coaches dream. The options are limitless. JJ's lack of creativity so far is a bit concerning but it may have been roster induced. Hoping and expecting to see a lot more this coming season. Young coach growing with young talent is extremely exciting.

Bronny isn't elite in anything, pump the brakes.
He did develop to be passable in an NBA game but he is still the 15th player of the roster.

Bronny is 6’3, probably over 220lbs with a 6’7.5 wingspan. He has fantastic lateral quickness and a 40”+ vertical. That’s pretty elite athleticism.

He isn’t an NBA player to this point, but don’t write him off just yet. I expect him to make some progress and get some decent time this year when injuries hit.

Best case scenario he challenges Sexton for some minutes. More realistic is he is decent injury insurance.

I actually find his lateral quickness to be a limitation, not a strength. He has trouble containing pgs in space.

Pump the brakes on Bronny being an elite athlete with elite verticality? Because he’s not a “perfect” athlete lacking top lateral quickness? That one thing tenses you up? I’ll stand by my statement he’s in Adou and Carr’s class as an athlete. Carr will never be as strong as James pound for pound either and didn’t some here question whether his lateral was quick enough too for the fastest point guards? I said Bronny was a good passer and I’d like to see the three of them on the perimeter together in a pre-season game.

When I posted above it was with knowledge of yes his lateral so far or maybe ever isn’t elite. Asking the same question does one area of less than the others in that upper echelon of athleticism mean he can’t be considered an elite athlete? Are they all cookie cutter the same in all areas of athleticism to be considered elite? He’s certainly exceptional. Irregardless I’d like to see the three of them on the floor together in at least a pre-season game.

I’m more confident in Mañon being a defensive plus over Bronny at this moment.
He’s taller, has quicker feet, and a wider range of offensive moves.
Bronny is listed at 6’3” but he looks smaller on the court.
He still has room to grow and will need to start hitting a high percentage of threes to get any real time.

I do agree on defense, based on what we saw up to the end of the season from Bronny against NBA rotational players. Compared to Chris now in Summer League ... although it IS still Summer League. But disagree on offense. Bronny has more to his game there IMO at this point with better handles, passing, variety shooting from deep and mid range moves and shots, and has Chris on verticality, it seems. For some reason they don't have any vertical numbers on him on line, even searching for Combine stats. (but just read he probably wasn’t at the combine). And we have yet to see Bronny's jump from this off season.

he’s a good athlete; I just was disagreeing with idea that he’s quick. Thiero isn’t, either. It matters if you need the guy to be able to guard or reliably switch onto nba pgs, which if bronny’s career is to progress will need to happen.

I don’t agree. I think both Thiero and Bronny are quick. Bronny isn’t ever going full throttle and I think his hesitancy to really trust his body again is what lets him down and gets him out of the league.

Thiero on the other hand isn’t quick with his read of the game, he doesn’t have anticipation either, so he is usually out of position or overcommitting and then the attacker gets a step on him.

The raw speed on agility for both guys is good, it’s just that transfer to sport isn’t there yet.

I get it, but the height and foot speed of a player remains whether he is in Summer League or a real NBA game.
