Now if we can get full admission to the "Basketball Reasons" we'll finally be able to see that the League screws over the Lakers just cuz..........................

This must be the Kuminga hold-up, Rob has inside intel that the league is about to void Kawhi's contract so we're gonna swoop in and sign him for the minimum

The hold up with Kuminga is money. He wants as much as he can get - guaranteed with a player option probably.

We may also be assessing other options.

Spencer Jones update: his agent is looking for offers elsewhere… I might be the highest on him on these forums.

ROB, sign him my man! Denver is paralysed with the Watson situation. It’ll just take 4 million…

Jones plays defense like Caruso in wing form. He is highly intelligent so his bball IQ is very high, he has great anticipation, is always poking at the ball, is physical with a high motor and decent athleticism.

He could be our Shane Battier for the next half decade on defence.

damn, looks like the law firm the league hired to "investigate" the clips is running out of time in their quest to piece things together to make it seem like ballmer/the team are innocent and silver isn't happy about it

just hurry the f*** up and let us know if cheating is legal or not

At this rate, they have to prove them guilty or everyone is just going to sign a simple deal and teams will find SIDE ways to pay them to come to their team, and it's going to mess things up even more.

THIS is the time where I think it's funny how much sports tout about the money they earn and make and what not, because all this is going to come down to is stuff like this....

Silver thought he fixed an issue, with the Tanking stuff, but people will find loopholes so that owners get the money and players just do whatever they want too and get their money. We aren't playing for just rings and recognition, we're playing to be billionaires ourselves.

I would love Jones on this team, but ideally as a bench player to compliment Kuminga. I don’t think Jones has the athleticism or volume production capabilities that we need from our starter.

Like if we dump LaRavia, Jones would slot in excellently into that role

If Lebron and Bronny go to Cleveland like Cleveland sport's radio host is saying, are the Lakers going to release Bronny or ask for Cleveland's only 2nd rd pick in 2032?

I am sure he would want to run it back. Plus 3 mil in NY is not hit as hard as Cali yy
Pop was the coach. Don't think he had much influence where Kawhi went.

Dump Knecht, do Spencer. Keep Hardy and Jake for the deadline. Then do Vando for PJ or Kuminga.

If they don't squeeze them for a second, I'd be incredibly pissed off. LIVID. Lakers have put two years of their resources and labor into developing him into a passable NBA player. Just giving him to Cleveland to placate an ex-player that left us for another team for what might end up being the minimum (when he could have gotten more than that here, and been a good fit in a position of need) would be the height of stupidity.

I'll be honest. I'm actually surprised you're so in on Kuminga. I know we don't have a ton of options, but he is a walking red flag. He wasn't willing to adapt and slide into a role with Steph Curry and Draymond with a highly respected head coach. And that role would be very similar to what we're asking him to do. Juxtipose that against PJ Washington who revels in the role we need. The upside is obviously waaaay higher with Kuminga, but man. I'll take the known fit.

Gotta sign Kaminga to a 2 year deal. Player option after the second so he can’t just bolt.

It's not just that. I'd be more than happy having Bronny on the team next season. As a 10th-12th man, he has become servicable, and he is still young and improving. Do I want to see him playing minutes come playoff time? No. But he will get minutes in the rgular season.
