He's better than Sacre, that's for sure.

Let me elaborate on what I wanted to say; the last I heard the Mavs wanted to sign Mcgee, but he had to give them enough medical evidence that he checked out from a health standpoint. I guess it didn't work out or didn't convince the Mavs; subsequently, the Mavs inked Dalembert to a 1 year deal.

Again, it sounds more like speculation on Kennedy's part than anything else.

I didn't see Randle being that far behind Black. If anything Summer League showed me the vast talent differential in them. Black looked great, but he's a garbage man. It's easy for guys like that to shine in Summer League. It's harder to create for others which is why Russell and Randle looked so far behind. However, once Randle got into a rhythm he was one of the best players on the floor at all times. He's big, fast, strong, and when he settles down he's almost unstoppable offensively. There were stretches where he isolated on the wing for 4-5 possessions in a row and was either scored or fouled every time. I like Tarik a lot, but he's simply incapable of that.

I feel like that'd be a hell of a front court rotation with Hibbert, McGee, Randle, Bass, and Black. It would help us defensively with the turnstile brigade of Lou and Swaggy, allowing them just to funnel everything towards the bigs. But damn, Mcgee even with his talent is so f***ing dumb that we'd have a weekly spot on Shaqtin a Fool on lock.

if we were to sign him, I would think that would spell the end of our intent to sign Upshaw. Can't imagine we'd do anything with him except consider a D League signing

Young. Still, I'd take a chance on JaVale. I think Hibbert with McGee backing him up is a great rotation. Tarik gets minutes at both 4 and 5, and plays more at the C position against small teams. That's a versatile rotation. Sacre... does not play.

    I'm with you.

McGee is dumb as a bag of rocks, but he has nice defensive instincts. In limited minutes he would certainly be better than Sacre IMO.

Yeah, that's an amazing defensive rotation, something we haven't had at the 5 in a... I can't remember, honestly.

instead of Sacre, i would much rather have McGee coming off the bench when Hibbert sits...lets him anchor the 2nd unit...he might have the IQ of a chia pet but i'll take the rim protection

Yes to this. With solid support from 24, Scott and Bass, I don't think McGee will try to do too much. I suppose the key here is how much he's recovered from the knee injury. Actually, the biggest idiot I've seen the last few years has been Blatche.

I'm with you as well. McGee is an upgrade over Sacre.
