so many outdated images on this site, but even more now lol Our new era has begun. I hope we have some fantastic moves up our sleaves and I hope we smoke Lebron's new team next year, but still hug him after the game so that it burns.
One of the silver linings of this off season is that at least we can stop pretending Bronny is a Nba level player.
really curious to see if we keep him and play him. i'm on the fence as to whether he's an nba player.
If he's not in our future plans, I hope we can at least extract a future 2nd for him. But based on how negotiations have gone lately, we'll probably have to give up a 2nd and be on the hook for a Bronny PO even though he's off the roster.
If LBJ wants him on his team, wherever it is I want multiple draft picks Hold that team ransom and see if they bend over backwards for him like we did
Why waste a roster spot, if he LeMax was ungrateful. Lakers took on his unproven son, kept him on the active roster, wasting a roster spot. He's done that to every team, holds them hostage in FA, while other teams improve and keeps his former team in a bad situation. Good riddance!
we should get one of those fake seconds teams use for optics, which hopefully we can then deal for optics later.
I’d honestly rather keep Bronny and see if he can take a leap in year 3. He seems like a good kid who works hard, and we’ve already invested into his development so let’s see how it plays out. If LeBron really wants him to join him on his new team, leverage that for more than just a super distant or protected second rounder. Don’t ship Bronny out at no cost just to do a favor to his dad. Of course the math changes if unexpectedly we have several minimum players interested in signing with us and we need the roster spot. Like say somehow magically Rob convinces Kuminga, Williams, and Brown all to sign. Then yeah dump Bronny without thinking twice.
good points. we're also going to be able to cut him in-season as necessary now, which wasn't possible before.
I’m not dumping him just to dump him, that’s more bad asset management. I’d definitely try to get a couple second rounders to send him where LeBron goes, but if that’s not possible I also keep him and just let him continue to develop. If he doesn’t, he can still be waived later.
That’s your position now LOL. If some other team executives see value in Bronny they’re absolute morons? Just flat out hating for no good reason and you’re going to be wrong. He will be in a rotational situation in the league somewhere at some point … maybe this season, latest …. next season. Book it!
It wouldn’t be because he’s worth it, it would be the landing LeBron tax. Just like we had to draft him to make LeBron happy, they would potentially give up a 2nd rounder to get him from us. I’m sure as hell not giving him up for free just to make LeBron happy.
I know Rob is glad to be done kissing LeBron's a$$. Likely save a lot of money on chapstick. Hopefully he learned a valuable lesson. Do what is right for the team and let the lips fall where they may.
