What would that even look like? I’d imagine we’d also have to renounce Kennard/Rui/Hayes and basically have only veterans minimum contracts and trades to fill out the roster? If that max slot does net Kessler or Duren, I think that’s a solid team but still pretty far from a sure shot contender.

I’m also bracing for a situation where we bring back Rui and Kennard and then just use remaining cap/exception on Mamu/Grimes and Rob delusionally pitches them as the Lebron/Smart replacements and touts how we got younger even though we’d actually essentially still be running it back and punting…

I know nothing of this Sandro guy.

Other than someone that Luka would like, what is great about him?

we're not talking about going to another contender, we're talking about going to Sacramento and play for a team that's probably going to be a losing team for the foreseeable future.

which rich 22 year old is going to want to do that instead of coming to LA, playing with Luka and at least make the playoffs?

Devastating. Don't get caught up in the 1 month. Lebron was not happy all season and it's clear the team did not want him back.

Someone that has some priority that he believes in that Sacramento has and we don't.

I get what you are saying, but also......it's happened A DOZEN times over. People have their reasons.

clearly not. we're losing smart for 7m per, lol. you could very easily hot dog stand your way out of that.

pat riley got wiggins to give up a ton of future earnings to lower his current cap number, and ballmer clearly just paid beal to opt out to give them more space to operate (nobody's paying beal that money).

we seem to be the only team NOT cheating. still!

I went to a Lakers game against the Spurs when they had Mamu and remember being impressed by him… and also just enjoying how funny his jersey looked with his last name being so big it barely fit on the back :D

I’m surprised to see he’s listed as a PF and only 6’9”

I recall him being large and thought he was more of a bruiser center with stretch 5 capabilities

I really don’t know too much about him, but feel like he’d be great bench depth at the 4/5

But if he’s supposed to be one of our main big men acquisitions and/or a Rui replacement, I feel that would be a pretty big L

It feels like it has to be more than that. I don't know.

I am ok with losing Smart. I think with Luka Smart is to injury prone.

Does Precious resigning in Sacramento mean that we are the leading contenders to sign Duren?

also Rui Hachimura in games filling in for Lebron averaged about 18-20 points a game. I expect a deal to get done for him today.

Zion would be great with Luka as a lob threat because of Luka’s ability to bring defenders out as a shooter.

I have campaigned for bringing Rui back at a reasonable price, but if our answer for replacing Lebron's offensive production is re-signing Rui we are well and truly screwed.

The Washington Wizards are not interested in trading 10-time NBA All-Star forward Anthony Davis and are not listening to trade offers for him, a source told @espn @andscape. Another NBA team exec says Wizards GM Will Dawkins is a huge fan of AD.

    Well damn.

    LeBron - gone
    Smart - gone
    Rui - unknown
    Kennard - unknown

We’re cleaning house. If we don’t stick the landing, we are one injury away to Reaves or Luka at not making the playoffs.
