    if we're talking about same money, I am going with the younger talent, and choosing Duren.

    The playoff underperformance situation is negligible for a 22 year old. He'll likely get it together with experience.

    Kessler is a better defender, so better fit but never averaged more than 11pts for a bad team, and has health concerns as well that he can stay on the court.

    i don't. agree with others that duren considering sacramento is almost a deal-breaker for me.

    also, wtf sacramento? hell-bent on ruining anything we try to do in absolutely nonsensical fashion. like, you're probably downgrading from sabonis to duren, you dumbshits.

    i don't think we have any chance at kessler at all, tbh. i thought we had a shot at duren simply because of his supermax thing. at regular ol' max, teams will just pay up like we did with reaves. can't afford to lose the player.

    i AM curious about haynes's contention that we have someone lined up if lebron leaves (though i'm starting to think haynes knows absolutely nothing). my money would be on zion. that would be on brand, imo.

    if rui and lebron are gone and we're scrambling, i actually like tobias harris on a big money short-term deal. everyone hates/is bored by him, but he just contributes to winning over and over.

    still want to know what's up with eason considering the smart to houston stuff.

    love SA's signing of champagnie. great work there.

    miami and the clips continue to cheat, and i'm mad we're not cheating. if we cheated like them, smart would have opted in.

    lol, i don't. those are the vet min guys you see as huge pickups when you have your starters in place. if we were operating over the cap, i'd be very interested in those guys. all signs point to us not doing that, though.

    I'd definitely take Duren, especially since Luka has been tapping him up already (means he likes him). I just think Kessler is the better fit. It's pretty obvious that's where our head is at, hence why we've been pretty much uninterested in players like Claxton, Stewart, etc. We must be going all-in on real difference makers. If we end up with Austin, Luka, Kessler as our big three, obviously Sirron would be over the moon, but we're still another offseason away from being a contender. Whether that contention comes from Carr/Thiero developing into the defensive wings we need or us using our MLE next summer to bring in a real contributor.
