Lol we sent the draft rights of 2 guys drafted In 2009 and 2014 to the Knicks on the Carr deal. That's wild lol I imagine the new crew is already paying off. I bet they discovered we had the rights of these guys but Pelinka, Rambii and the FO had no idea
I think buying the pick for tonight reinforces that we are NOT running it back. Let's assume Kleber and Nick Smith Jr. wouldn't be included in a run-it-back scenario, that leaves 2 open roster spots - now taken by Carr and a 2nd round pick. I'm guessing the FO has ideas that are dependent on whether or not Ayton opts in (Smart too, but he's not getting traded if he opts in).
Yeah I think we are moving up, this was a way to get in. If we are sending the other 2nd, it's probably for someone we would be giving a full contract I'd imagine
Yeah that’s a really solid call. Four spots are going to Bronny, Adou, Carr and another draft pick. That means we have 10 roster spots open. Luka and Reaves are locked in. We effectively have to figure out the next 8 and choose what we are doing with Lebron, Smart, Ayton, Rui, Kennard, Vando, Knecht, Jake etc.
how's veesaar still on the board? i don't think he's going to be great or anything, but he's sorta jay huff-ish, and teams can use that. edit: also, bkn and the spurs doing nicely. bkn: brown (i'm iffy here, but high upside), jefferson, evans spurs: quaintance, reed, brazile
