incorrect. Austin is darn talented, I like Austin just know what he is and isn't. just say i am not bias. Not a fan boy. Just like Knicks won with Brunson Lakers can win with Austin. the difference is we have to put players in the right position and $$. Lakers have to figure out how to get more athletic and defensive. ........... Jalen Brunson has an all-time postseason winning record with the New York Knicks of 39-21 (.650). Across his entire career in New York, his playoff game record stands at 50 wins and 35 losses, which includes leading the Knicks to the NBA Championship. Under Mike Brown, New York transformed into the best defensive team in the playoffs. They limited opponents to an incredibly low scoring efficiency in the clutch, frequently getting essential late-game stops. So for me its about what you did not maybe what you can do.

I thought the post game interview of Brunson was really annoying. He had just the moment of his life and he was trouble processing it and the sideline reporter was acting like a lawyer at a deposition trying to get something out of him

Anyways the lack of any semblance of an offensive game from Wemby was a bit glaring. You have to be able to create some offense of your the number one. Maybe they have let him try to create off the dribble since he seems more comfortable with that then starting in the post

This officially Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves team. Lakers co-captains. Like Curry and Klay. Let’s see what we put around them.

I don’t care what people say. Austin is better than Fox in terms of go to moves. What I saw with Fox he had his speed but when he needed his jumper he couldn’t get it.

Austin can get his jumper when he needs it and get to his spot like a Jalen Brunson or Shai. He can bate fouls and he makes his free throws. He’ll be a richer man. But he’ll be a Laker.

Luka in the words out of a movie in the 1990’s from New York Juice. You got all the juice now. Luka this is your team. Be our Shai. Be our Jalen. I want to see a parade down Figueroa.

Does LeBron do the unthinkable and sign with San Antonio to team with Wemby. That’s his big man he needs to cover his defense. Young kids on the perimeter to protect his defense. He can be the OG saving the day and justify to his legacy. I had to help these kids win and teach them how to bring a championship to San Antonio because they don’t have my clutchness. This kid always goes the other way. Nobody saw Miami coming. Now San Antonio is going to have to get creative. Because I see nobody in the NBA taking that Dearen Fox contract. I said I don’t see a worse contract than Ja Morant. Well wow meet Dearen Fox. Theres still the Brooklyn Nets.

I guess Jokic was really the MVP. or was it Shai. Yeah crazy that at this point of his career Demarcus Cousins had a better post game than Wemby. And Anthony Davis offensive game was more defined at this point. I remember Davis putting 40 on the Warriors.

You wont because i never said it. Just like Spurs knocked off OKC last season NY beat Boston. They dont have a losing record in the postseason. So you have a level of success. the difference is Over the last three years (2024–2026), the Los Angeles Lakers have a combined playoff record of 5-11. In context both Luka and Austin got injured so can be misleading. so need to dive a bit deeper.
The Los Angeles Lakers had a 0-4 regular-season record against the Oklahoma City Thunder this season.
Oklahoma City swept the 4-game regular-season series, and also defeated the Lakers in the playoffs to finish with a 7-0 combined record against them across the regular season and the postseason. this was Denver like. So 3 teams beat us easily Minny, Denver, OKC. thats a pattern. Vs a few athletic teams this season ..... not a coincidence Denver is the least athletic.
    • Oklahoma City Thunder: 0–4 (The Thunder later eliminated the Lakers 4-1 in the Western Conference Semifinals).
    • San Antonio Spurs: 1–3
    • Denver Nuggets: 2–1
    • Boston C Bags: 0–2

didn't you have several posts a while back lamenting that the spurs were able to get fox for nothing?

anyway, i'd take him and guess he's not going to have a high ankle sprain the next time i need him. not sure how castle's escaping all criticism when he was healthy and a complete offensive non-threat other than the occasional putback. this is your supposed up and coming superstar guard.

Have to take that sacrifice $$ and Lakers need to get younger and Athletic around them. This may also include moving on from Lebron.

I dont see why they need to get rid of Fox lol. the sky is not falling in Spurs land. they are a young team. Not a win now or bust.

they need fox while harper and castle develop. two years from now, they can move on from fox when they have to pay the other two guys. they're fine; he's fine.

I would grab deraon fox in a heartbeat if you're u can keep Lebron and AR

Classic buy low for a guy who was seriously hurt and had some brain farts. Magic and LeBron also choked away finals s*** happens. But hes a decent defender and if you pair him with smart and AR that a hell of a backcourt imo. With the usual if healthy caveats

sorry man, but they weren't winning s*** if they had kept all those young guys. all these years later, and none of them have proven they'd be capable of being a main piece on a contender. trading them for AD was the only logical choice (and the correct one)

I disagree- he head several mid range shots that he couldn’t sink last night in the fourth. That weren’t due to his ankle.
He had a very bad series minus one game.
They will try hard to move him.
I didn’t expect the Spurs to win after being to the big dance for their first time. I think they were the second youngest team to ever be there?
Anyway, I agree that if healthy, we would have had a chance to beat them this season. Unfortunately for us, they will come back stronger next season.
Congratulations to the Knicks on their great run. Brunson, Bridges Robinson, and Hart are easy to root for.

No of them have even proven to be the second best player in a winning squad.

You are truly a troll and are going on my ignore list- have a nice, dreary, cat-AIDS filled, Debby Downer day my guy.
You obviously didn’t watch the Finals in which Fox collectively sh*t the bed.

True but a slight adjustments would have retain a pick or two and and some young pieces. Randle Walked, pretty much Zubac was a fire sale. Hart, Kuzma, Zubac a pick or two would have been nice. Zubac, Davis, Lebron. Pope, Hart, kuzma, Caruso and some vets like Danny green, Rondo. they went a bit to far because they wanted to add two other stars.
