What do you mean? All they have to do is close the deal? They are in the finals and beat the Champs. This could be their year and get even better next year. Game 1 was a dog fight and came down to the last few minutes. Its not like NY was dominating them. Brunson just made some big Plays and Fox wet the bed.

The spurs have a Dearen Fox problem. He’s looking like Chet Holmgren.

Coaching is just as important as playing. Dumb coaches get you in trouble.

Mitch Johnson is getting out coached. He’s over thinking it. You got Carter Bryant on the bench. So you think it’s better to bench him and have Harrison in there.

put Carter Bryant on Brunson and make him work. s*** put Stephen Castle on Brunson and make him work. I’d sit Vassell if I had to.

But the only way the Spurs are winning this series is Dylan Harper has to play 35 minutes. And he has to be the primary Ball handler. Put Wemby at the post in the post not at the top of the key.

some things you just see in Basketball whether it be Demarcus Cousins or Wemby or Davis some post players bigs love dribbling like they are point guards to get in the paint.

start at the post and your already there. Don’t have players playing hero ball that shouldn’t be playing hero ball like Fox. Fox got the yelps. Games too much for him.

They popped Champagne when they beat the Thunder and thought they had it won and they forgot that they still have a game.

They got 4 more but they keep playing and this will be over in a week.

That’s maturity not recognizing the moment. Wembys Shaq in 1995 not 2000.

Wembys not Jabbar. I said that.

Yall talk about him not knowing how to play but damn. That’s the coach design some plays in the post to make him feel comfortable to get him going.

sure next game they’ll get out to a 15 point lead how do they keep it. All New York is going to do is shoot 3’s how do they play in New York.??? That will be the challenge with that crowd.

The Knicks want to make this a perimeter game. That’s the only shot they have to win it. The Spurs have to make this a slow it down post game. They can’t run with the Knicks.

And the scouting report on Wemby will be get in on him get your body on him and he’ll get get your body on him and get physical with him and he’ll just fall like a pogo stick.

but it’s all on Mike Brown who’s destroying Mitch Johnson. It just goes to show you. You can’t have a rec league coach coaching NBA players even when you got the best player you still can’t win.

The Knicks have another gear of shooting they’ve been showing this whole playoffs. That was a cold night for them, so if they have a normal night or a hot night shooting, they could get out ahead real quick.

Most young teams need to lose one time before they break through - it would certainly be unique if the spurs won it all on Wemby’s first time into the playoffs. There is still some growth for them to have and I think they’ll be greatly improved because of it.

I was already expecting the Spurs kids to choke. They were up by 14 halfway through the 3rd quarter. A more experienced team would have never lost this game.

I think we will add 4 to 6 players this offseason.

Here's how I see the roster shaping right now, with 48mil in cap space

3 Stars: Luka, AR (40 descending), Bron (15-18)
    5 Key rotation: Smart (PO) , 2 FA (22-25 + 8-10), 2 via trade
5 Rotation: Thiero, LaRavia, Hayes, 2 via split of room MLE
    2 development: Bronny, draft

FA 22-25: Dosunmu, Watson, Eason, etc (make the math work via ascending contracts, salary exceptions, etc)
FA 8-10: Rob Williams or some center
Trade #1: Herb for Vando and 2 firsts
Trade #2: Portis for Ayton + Knecht + Nick Smith + 1 first
1/2 Room MLE: Ellis, Reed, Isaac (might get cut), Thybulle and other wink wink contracts

That gives us this playoff rotation:
    Luka | Smart
    AR | Smart
    Dosunmu | Herb
    Bron | Portis
    Williams | Portis

+ Hayes, Thiero, Reed, Ellis, and LaRavia for the regular season, hoping a couple of them can give us some few minutes in postseason

Copy both those takes (not sure 7 games) and throw in Towns (Big game) as well plus the 15 rebounds and highest plus/minus of everyone .... Hart

The way we go back and forth with takes on here. Does anyone come up with what the Knicks are doing???

look how they built their team. That’s how you win. I don’t know how the Lakers do it.

we’ve been debating stuff but s*** How do we do it??? I can’t believe they got Towns for Randle. That’s like two opposite players. What the f*** was Minnesota doing??? They didn’t want to pay him right????

That’s what I’ve been trying to tell yall
Kristoff Porzingis. You have to be able to space the floor pace with Luka. Let Porzingis be that towns. We gotta shoot and have our center able to shoot threes.

Why does their offense look so crisp????

Man yall talk about this guy alot but I dont know if yall see it. Adou Thiero he needs to develop and be that OG. Is the kid a worker???

If I were him I’d be sitting watching OG tape. I’d have coaches watching OG with him. I’d have Bronny watching OG with him. He should be doing nothing but shooting this off-season. Just shooting shooting. I’d be trying to meet with Bruce Bowen at Cal State Fullerton. He’s gotta fix his shot. I’d be trying to shoot shoot shoot.

Mitchell Robinson is that an honest shot. I would think regardless this whole Knicks team is coming back.

I think making Rui Hachiumura a priority has to be a must. Lebron can’t do his crap.

How long yall wanna wait on Lebron for???

I’m looking at this Knicks team. 3-D. Get Robert Williams figure out if Ayton is coming back or get Keon Ellis. At this point is he Jose Alvarado???

can we get Mathias Thybulle or is the guy Kelly Oubre.

We got Luka obviously we’re bringing back Reaves so it’s like we’re right there. What do we need to do to really get in for this championship?

cause looking at the Knicks looks like that should be us with Luka. we can get this championship part of it is him being on the court. It looks like to me Jalen Brunson stays on the court and is pretty durable.

We can’t just give Ayton up for nothing. He’s a good Center we have to get something coming back. What I’m looking at with Wemby and how Towns is going at him. You gotta have a Center who can put the ball in the basket. That’s what Ayton was doing to Sengun.

Dumma$$ ..... dollar signs for probably a big fine too and/or big community service to stay out of jail. Plus being stoopid for not thinking it through to use his wide angle lens for the vertical selfie with 7'5" Wemby. :giggle:

Not trying to have recency bias, but seeing these playoffs is a good way for us fans to sit back and analyze what kind of builds are working. Take Knicks, Spurs, Thunder for example. All three of those teams have these similarities:

    (1) Have three 3 and D wings in their starting lineups. All 3 could defend either wings or point of attack.

    (2) Utilize a stretch 5 in their starting lineup, but this player is also able to block shots and rebound.

    (3) At least one of the starting 3 and D is a good rebounder for their size and could hold his own against bigger players.

    (4) They run an undersized 4

    (5) They have a solid rugged defensive oriented backup center to compliment the more finesse starter

    (6) They have one dynamic scoring guard- to varying degrees. Foxx is a lesser version, but Wemby is obviously their main guy, happens to be a 5, but u get the point.

We actually have 2 dynamic guard types in the starting lineup in Luka and Reaves. If going by this formula, we don't need both of them, but we may have to sign Reaves and trade him later.

We kind of have a clean slate. Let's see what we could do to build a successful team. It's a copy cat league, it is what it is. We should try to build a team like them, or at very least the 24 Mavs to make Luka happy and for aesthetic purposes.

The difference between Boston and the rest of the fans everywhere is that they gave that fan a lifetime ticket pass for a premier seat to all C bag games.

Cracks me up, there were 2 seconds left, solid and they just call the game. Fisher is thinking, hey man, I could make that shot!!!

There can only be 1 winner. They made it this far already. So may be the better team is NY and not that Spurs to young. Health energy is a key factor in modem NBA. They made it this far and beat the Champs and inexperience was not an issue. NY may just be better more equip to win it all as they have to bigs to wear Wemby out. And may have a better coach. Spurs have a legit shot to win it all even if they lost game 1 at home. If it goes to 6 or 7 if will show they had some fight.
