Off topic but for this to happen AR has to be paired with a guy like Amare. I was baffled then and still am how the nash bandwagon (and he was great) kind of took based on the phoenix team which had this big man who no one could stay in front of. I've never seen a big with that kind of first step other then Worthy and he was awesome before Nash got to Phoenix. Injuries really robbed NBA fans with Stoudemire. I think everyone has collectively forgotten that he put up 37 ppg on 60 plus TS against Duncan in a playoff series. Insane
well, in order for AR to anchor a contending level team, you'd basically have to do what ny did for brunson--fix the whole roster to cover for his deficiencies. but the question was whether reaves/mpj/claxton/clowney is a good enough core 4 to finish 10th or higher in the east.
The Lakers can’t do anything with AR until he signs. Then they will try and find a bench player that can replace him in defensive situations. If they are unable to do that(they should be able to) then they will put feelers on his worth around the league
Pretty sure he will be untradable until December. It usually happens with guys who sign new contracts in the summer But yeah it isn't out of the question a deal before the deadline. It would be a bad sign though. Would mean the team isn't playing well and whoever comes, changes completely the structure of the team and likely hinders the ability to go for a long playoff run due to lack of chemistry and there goes another year. I think we will go to at least another playoff run with AR
If they find the guy to fill in for him defensively then it’s moot.Even if they can’t I don’t necessarily think they would trade him this year.
I think that will be Smart no? Ideally we get a starting wing this offseason. Or 2 if Bron walks so I see Marcus sliding to the bench as our 6th man
