    Per 100 Possessions:
    2006 Kobe On/Off +/: +12.5
    2014 Durant On/Off +/-: +6.0
Yes, Kobe's numbers are more than double Durant's. That's how crappy his teammates were.

    2006 Kobe RAPM: +5.7
    2014 Durant RAPM: +3.8

Prime Kobe > almost anyone. Who would I take now? Durant easily, but another story.

I'm shocked at how quickly the media/general public forgets how insane Kobe was in his prime.

I've said it before, but Prime Kobe was the most skilled and versatile offensive player I've ever seen in the NBA.

Yeah I posted it for pure humor. Unfortunately the future of NBA "fans" will base their perception of greatness on stat sheets & advanced stats more than watching the damn game. The further we go away from playing era the harder it will be to convince others he was as brilliant as he was.

As a wise man once said, "watch the f***ing tape"

No Durant year was better than 2006 Kobe, sorry. I like Durant a lot, but please. He's a great player, but he's no Kobe, and in the Finals Westbrook was more killer than Durant. I know we're talking '14 Durant, but I can't overlook that.

Yeah as great as Durant can be (he can still be a champion and Hall of Famer), he's no Kobe. Kobe in his prime was capable of basically anything. His scoring stretches were more impressive than anything I saw from Jordan. His defense was top notch. He could pass the ball well, but his teammates usually couldn't finish. Kobe in his prime was the most dominant scorer I've ever seen. He had no weaknesses offensively. Post game, outside shooting, handles, pull-up jumpers, drives, floaters, hooks. The guy was just ridiculous.

Durant is still mostly a jump shooter. He's not a passer. He's never been a great defender. Even his best scoring outputs aren't as impressive as what Kobe was doing from 2005-2007 give or take a year or two in either direction.

I dig some of the old emoticons. If you want to look at historical CL stuff, you can go to the wayback machine and do a search for a thread with a lot of emoticons, (sample CL Page) and you might find ones you like. Then you can save them and host them somewhere if you want to use them. I found some I hadn't saved, but don't have them all. Like hippo Shaq I wasn't interested in, etc.

That guy is good, he nailed another one. I'm not even sure which of his impressions is my favorite, maybe at the moment the Tim Duncan falling sideways, awkward toss at the hoop one.

Of course. Strength in mental basketball "computation" in China from the sheer size of their numbers, coupled with the basketball education focused upon from a very young age there..... in comparison with the declining state of that education in the US due to the mis-information from ESPN. Commies love Kobe!!
