he missed some easy 2 point shots against the clips, too. wonder if he's got some hand issue we don't know about or something. that's always how it was with kobe back in the day.

He finished the Clips game with two fingers taped. Against Boston he didn't have any tape

yeah, i remember he hurt his left hand in the clips game, but his three point shot seems largely unaffected. then again, he's always been a streaky three point shooter but is generally really solid inside 15ft. really solid is probably an understatement there. so if he's missing twos, something's off. i read that boston just sat everyone in the paint and dared us to shoot, so maybe he just had lower shot quality.

It will never be allowed. It would be like a triple stuffed Oreo x 3. No way they allow that much elite creamy filling in one location.

    2 things:

    1. all minutes are equally valuable in games. in fact, if you play better earlier, the later minutes matter LESS. someone tell that to people who only believe in trying in the 4th quarter.

    2. i think it's hard to balance when to take it yourself and when to involve others when you're in the luka/kobe class. it may also be that he feels like he has to see the ball go through the hoop a few times in order to play his game.

anyway, luka is also one of if not the most feared clutch player in the game, so i've got a big yawn for half by half analysis.

the thing i do hope/expect he and jj (or jj's replacement) figure out is how to empower talented teammates. guys like luka (and harden, for another example) are GREAT at making marginal guys look good, but you can't win it all that way. like, luka can get slovenia to the bronze medal game with guys a little better than me in my prime flanking him, but to win it all, you need to take guys like reaves and rui and help them elevate further, too. that's on the player and the scheme/coach, but given luka's issues in dallas with carlisle, he's definitely got a way he prefers to do things.

once again, this is just a vastly superior problem to deal with than "how do i find a top-5 nba player"?

We need a top 5 coach brother. You shouldn't be running a prime thoroughbred, like he's a quarter horse.

Now maybe..It's on Luka to dial it back a notch..I say that's the coach's job to orchestrate the rhythm of his team. Again Austin has missed a lot of games, so that may be a factor too.

However I still don't know what the hell our "scheme" actually is.

Not sure wtf that last shot was, passed up a wide open 3 to pass to a guarded LeBron, super weird.

Hmm, he does appear to say that, and Bron did call for the ball. But, maybe only once it looked like the defenders closed on Luka, don’t think I’m gonna blame Bron on this one

in the replay, it looks like he hesitates when lebron puts his hands up for the ball, and by the time he unfreezes, neither the shot nor the pass is there.

honestly, it's a bit of a microcosm of the season. luka's not quite ready to take full control of the team, and lebron's not quite ready to give it up.

guessing next time he'll just go with his gut (i think he was going to shoot it at first).

Just saw a bit of the game and it happens. There's 5 seconds on the clock, he's not expecting to launch it straight, he was expecting the defender to come, but notices he gets caught in a good screen by Ayton and the opportunity is there which messed up with his motion, then it all derails after that

    Really unfortunate

Lebron should NEVER be calling for the last 2nd shot from deep lol. Not when he has half a dozen better snipers on his team.
