Whatever punishment if any, will be negotiated ahead of time with Ballmer and the Clippers IMO. I don’t think they want to hang one of the top 10 richest people in the world out to dry. Minimum he loses his cochairing position on the audit committee with his biggest cheerleader Cuban. Ballmer on the audit committee, what irony.
I thought I was “with you”. I guess not. But “this” is how I find out …. your post on a Lakers message board?
Oh I do hope they come down on Ballmer hard. Especially with this being the 3rd time he’s been investigated by the NBA in what is really a short tenure. The bombshell I’m hoping to come is whether the whistleblower rumor inside of Aspiration that went to the government and started the whole investigation into fraud is true. If so, did they explicitly name Ballmer in cap Circumvention with Kawhi’s contract. If so, that is the closest thing to a smoking gun the NBA will find. There are already sources inside Aspirations that have told Pablo that but did a federal witness say that originally.
I think there will be arrests for the stolen election of 2020 or from the Epstein files, or Congressional insider trading before Balmer gets a slap on the wrist. in other words, don’t hold your breath “Allegedly” Sorry left that word out.
i think the venn diagram of belief in a stolen 2020 election and ballmer's innocence may be a circle.
I think it’s possible someone hasn’t been watching the news and the proven fraud that has happened across multiple states, unless you were saying it’s so obvious that there was fraud and it’s so obvious that bomber cheated that that is the circle lol
If the league doesn’t punish the Clippers they are basically saying they are giving the whole league a blueprint and green light on circumventing the cap.
yeah, definitely not what i'm saying. foil helmets out of basketball forum. been saying this the whole time. i love it now that we have ownership with more money. i've actually wondered if the clips will end up getting punished because other owners go to silver and say if ballmer can do that, the lakers will win every ring for the next decade.
Yes, the Lakers now have more money but with a big important difference compared to the Clips, the new ownership know how win unlike Ballmer who like his team, kept on Clipping
I know we won, but man they traded away some big pieces, Kawhi didn’t finish the game, and they still almost got us. I really wish we had their approach to roster building, surrounding our stars with those type of players would give us so much more of a shot at deep playoff runs.
That's nice. And it also has amounted to absolute d***, in the end, each time. Thanks for coming out. Happy St. Patrick's day ahead of time.
Yeah, but that’s been mainly due to their stars’ health, if Kawhi could stay on the court they’d have likely made deep runs. Come on now, we can dislike the franchise and be objective, they’re well run. I’m not saying they’re the best run team in the league, but I’d like to see a similar vision here, just my personal preference.
They're crooks. What ran well? How many times is Balmer going to set up outside interests to get players and results when its against the rules before the NBA drops the damn hammer on him? These idiots let Uncle Dennis control their business ventures. For what? To have an autistic Kawhi Leonard lead them to zero Finals runs. Nice program. They tried to cheat and still lost. That makes you even more dumb.
absolutely aside from emphasizing the importance of their bench, they've drafted well in recent years AND that coaching staff under lue always seems to get the most out of their players. even when they've been down kawhi/PG/harden over the years, they've still won games with the likes of batum, zubac, etc stepping up
They were the hottest team in the league, but we cooked them this time. Our team is finally healthy, let's see how long that will last.
they made one of the single worst trades in nba history. for years, they had a blank check that allowed them to just churn expirings for useful role players--of course they were deep! for all the talk of their current supporting cast, they've been absolute dog s*** with kawhi out this year. i think the harden trade this year was bad for them (garland can't stay on the floor), but the zubac trade was pretty good (indy's going to regret that one, imo). really don't see the case for them being well run, though. what is it? the kris dunn reclamation? fab four said they drafted well...who? SGA? whom they traded along with 7 first round picks for paul george? who then walked into air (a triumph, btw!). and are we allowed to blame injuries of lack of success or no? i don't know. i don't think lawrence frank is heading the hall of fame as an executive, nor do i think the clippers have been managed better than most teams. so many gms would have killed for that budget, man. they had all that pre-apron, too.
