Westbrick put up some very good stat lines as a Laker, but just about all of us here, except for one, can agree that he was a collassal FAILURE of a member of our team and arguably the worst trade in Laker Hostory.

The lie that keeps getting told, until it's almost considered to be fact around here.

I don’t think they should have to release it to the public. Maybe not even to execs. I do think there should be a certain level of disclosure between medical staffs responsible for clearing people.

Definitely will be interesting to see how Williams does. While I’d like us to be proven right I can’t bring myself to wish an injury on someone.

Their roster is kind of depleted now and top heavy. I imagine the 23rd pick to go along with their projected lottery pick would be of interest to them. And Ainge has been rumored to like our distant picks. Luka would be like 35 in the 2032-2033 season. The player really is just salary ballast. We technically don't have to trade them any actual players. Could make it the 2031 and 2033 1sts if they prefered that, althoigh i would like to protect at least one of those. I would just like to free up some more room to sign another free agent or absorb someone like Dort.

I like the Dort idea, I would ideally like to add another long wing player too.

I think the Ainge Lakers stuff is a bit overblown, he's not in Boston anymore, but we shall see.

Utah doesn't have the same leverage in this off-season that they had the last 2 seasons. The Lakers nor Ainge want to go down the offer sheet route. It would prevent the Lakers from using that 35 million in cap room during a crucial time in the free agent signing period and Ainge would risk loosing him for nothing or match a very uncomfortable amount of money for them. So sign and trade really would be best for all parties involved.

oh a game he’ll actually play in. I’m sure he won’t take them out in the 4th quarter and sit them the whole 4th Quarter.

same logic on peyton watson. my guess is we'll pursue one or more of the RFAs with this kind of scheme, pocketing the threat to actually make the offer. if we don't get what we want in UFA/trade absorption, we circle back to the RFA offer market. i'd be surprised if rob hadn't already spoken to these folks about this, tbh. i feel like these are conversations that happen at the deadline between gms and agents, long before FA. probably informs some deadline moves. probably how we ended up doing the zubac/muscala trade (vomits again).

I started out as a big fan of Kawhi. He played at SDSU, a school I have attended. I so wanted him to be a great success. I have grown way less fond of him. To me, he is most everything about sports that I don't like. He is an unlikeable superstar. He is great but he is a super me first player. All this ugly BS that the Clippers have going is 90% on his shoulders. I pray the Lakers do nothing with this guy. If he wants to be in LA so much, too bad, he shouldn't have cheated. Send him to Brooklyn.
