At the risk of getting attacked again .... gave that a big like. It's pretty ******* obvious just how good he is, and definitely is not as bad as haters make him out to be on defense, all things about it considered.

Doesn’t he lead the league in charges? That’s also defense. The hardcore kind.

    Just finished last nights game.
    Super BeastMode engaged!
I wouldn’t trade him for Giannis.
I want to see HIM and Luka win multiple Rings together.

Those 2 3s were insane! The one he had to fire like a 30ft volleyball “set” and the kind of fallback on the side line also late in clock with the defender all over him.

I still can’t believe how much better he’s gotten since last season and some STILL think he’s just “meh” after putting up insane numbers this year.
We live in a strange world.

like luka, he's not "bad" on defense. he just has some limitations that make you vulnerable. both can be iso'ed in space by smaller guards. both fight pretty well in the post but obviously can't stop a skilled big (of which there are like...5 total in the league, anyway).

but with strength, good hands, and high hoop iq, he (and luka) can certainly function as part of a good defensive team. you just need three other guys out there who can cover ground, two of whom can't be iso'd to great effect on the perimeter (at least make the opposition set a couple screens and work the clock).

anyway, about 25 teams in the league wish they had luka/reaves and fairly clean books heading into next year.

So you're basically saying we can't resign Lebron if we're committed to building around Luka/Reaves. I agree.

unless we want to limit all other trades/signings to one-year again, kicking the can down the road. i could imagine scenarios in which it made sense to do that, but i sorta hate them all.

i think lebron's retiring (if he gets hobbled again in the playoffs or before) or going to cleveland, so i don't factor him into any plans.

In the Nets game, his shot was off. To be expected, he's been on ice. Then less than 48 hours later he's burning the net with Luka-esque 3s out there. Most efficient flame throwing game of his career right off an injury.

HIM! and a hell of a reminder of that fact.

I think leaguewide it was greatly understanded what we were missing while he was out.

Even on LG there's some sanity about him ..... pushing back on all the blown out of proportion stuff he CAN"T do. Seriously? Compared to what he CAN do(?), plus being a willing, full effort always, charge taking, decent to good "team defender." Courtesy of KingKobe20. Speaking of "20" this is literally 20 minutes long of highlights from just this season, that he's missed nearly half the games. I see all kinds of bigger, stronger, more athletic defenders getting just smoked. Maybe his best reel ever from only a third of a season's games so far. Yeah I'm a fan. With great reason to be.

yeah, it's a little annoying at this point that people can't recognize the value. we'd probably be in second place this year if he didn't get hurt--and that's with all the other injuries, too.

Reaves had this slick change of direction play in the third for a bucket. Came back down to earth after the Sixer win. Fatigue..getting his wind back.

He was. If he was playing regular minutes it would have been a blowout
