We couldn't sign either of them, they made too much money.

Hmmm. I suppose we could just be vetting scouts.

Likely both but I imagine the names may not be well known to us but well known around the league.

We might be wrong about the 14M stuff, Trevor mentioned it on the All white Lakers podcast, so we have a chance to get Middleton lol but not Demar since the Kings are deranged and accept no buyouts

Thybulle is apparently dealing with knee issues again along with his thumb injury.

Guys get hurt worse when coming here not better. I think I’m out on him.

If Thybulle can’t play then there’s no point in bringing him in. Look for Klay or Demar

I married a tan wife, and I jealous of her skin tone.

Why no on Thomas? Bench scoring is atrocious. This gives the Lakers someone who can score. He can't do anything else but with Bron, Reaves, or Luka on the court at all times, you don't need Thomas to create for others.

You're not going to get a better offensive skillset than him. Lakers bench can't score at all.

    (1) Trade 2031 1st to Brooklyn for 2027 worst 1st and 2029 worst 1st.

    (2) Trade 2026 Lakers 1st (projected 23rd pick) + 2027 Brooklyn worst 1st + 2029 Brooklyn worst 1st + 2033 Lakers 1st + Ayton (opt-in) + Thiero + Knecht to Milwaukee for Giannis.

Bucks could sell to their fans that they got 4 first-round picks for Giannis, and some good young players in Thiero and Knecht. By the end of the 2033 season, Giannis will be 38, Reaves 35, and Luka 34. So that pick could be valuable. Age increase chance of injuries.

Wild that Giannis is considered to be on the "downside " of 30, but he's only a few years older than Luka and Austin.

It’s mainly because of how much his game relies on his athleticism

Who knew??? … well besides me saying it like 5 times that Mark was right in the thick of these decisions and calling the shots about cap space and flexibility and having a plan …. rather than Rob stumbling along in fantasy land.

Yeah it's a gamble. He could have a long later career like LeBron (not likely, no one else ever has), or his game could fall off the cliff at any point from here on.

Right. If you can somehow get him without giving up Austin I don’t see how we could turn it down despite my reservations. I think it’s really unlikely though

I want to see these "significant hires" first, and who they report to.
