They have like 5 picks every year for the next 5 years lol. Not enough room for those players

Why would they give us a FRP to dump KCP? They are obviously not looking to contend next season, they can buy him out and keep that pick.

They can trade some of them along with Ja, and get some talent back. OKC did pretty good stacking picks. They could also use those picks to outbid us for Watson or Mathurin this summer.

I don't anticipate Rich Paul looking to do Rob any favors after pushing LeBron out. I don't think we get Watson or KCP.

RFAs don’t need to worry about your s&t return.

They can decline your offer sheet and take someone else's too. Bidding on RFA 's isn't some kind of sure bet.

I feel like the teams will resign their RFAs just to spite us. At the very least they will tie things up long enough that any other targets we had are off the board.

just a lot of risks with that approach IMO.

I feel quesy about this as our main strategy, we could very well strike out on Kessler, Watson and Mathurin..then what? Wait until the trade deadline? To trade who Austin?

lol, we're once again assuming it's the only strategy. i know we all think we're smarter than rob pelinka when it comes to basketball decision making, but it's just incredibly unlikely that this is the case.

i don't think our whole strategy is RFA. of course teams will match. make them match, though. i LOVED when teams didn't make us match on reaves. we'd be in a MUCH worse position had teams simply forced our hand there. if we have the money, let's force denver's hand on watson. make them pay the biggest tax bill ever or give away cam johnson. as a competitor, we win either way.

i'm still struggling to understand why people just want to piss away draft picks for what is likely not even an upgrade. use the space to sign five laravias! it's better than sending out a 1st and taking salary for a poor-fitting vet at the end of his rope.

several of the folks moving right now (like ellis or white) are slated to be UFAs in the summer. you might get them for nothing (or gabe if you choose to see it this way). and you'll have all your picks for when someone randomly sells the next jjj-level player for three firsts.

how many "fire rob" posts will be spawned if we spend a first to get coby white right now and are short a first when orlando is selling jalen suggs or whatever?

chandler parsons? he got hurt afterwards, but it was a bit of a sting in the moment.

it's also been a long time since anyone made a really staggering offer to an RFA.

edit: just remembered morey got asik and lin as RFAs (iirc) by uniquely structuring the offers.

again, i don't think our summer plan is "peyton watson or bust"--that would be stupid. i just prefer having options to spending assets right now on meh upgrades.

Not sure what all the complaining is about when it’s still only the third.
There’s still plenty of dominoes to fall.

yeah, i think we would definitely be in the mix in the summer should it drag out. but i'd fear a kawhi redux in such a case.

i'd rather he just get moved this week.

LOL this. I’m begging the Bucks to end Pelinka’s delusion, preferably with at least a day or 2 left before the deadline.

What salary will we have to match Giannis 52M contract, that doesn't involve Luka or Austin?

Yeah, let’s just conveniently leave out that we also have LeBron who makes $53,000,000 this season and just so happens to have a no trade clause. Even if he didn’t, there would be only one team who would even consider trading for the 41 year old.
