i don't blame him. he has a really short leash that's stifled any chance at development here. i imagine he's being included in plenty of scenarios and that we'd take an expiring and a decent 2nd for him. i'd really like two seconds, so we can add that to our current one to package with gabe/kleber.
I think we will move him if we can. He was given a fair shot here and just wasn't able to capitalize.
yeah, i guess we could quibble about how much jj should have put up with. i just think other organizations are more willing to roll with the highs and lows of player development than we are.
He might become a more reliable shooter somewhere else but he’s too dumb to become a good defensive player. The game is way too fast for him to process and I don’t think that’s going to change substantially with more consistent playing time.
reports were that he "demanded" sorry, but no clout to demand anything, get out of my office that being said, we were already shopping you, but way to spin it in a way where you don''t look like our garbage salary cap filler And I truly believe he will have a good career elsewhere. Not a good fit here unfortunately.
well, nobody under contract is truly able to "demand" out. it's always an ask, which was what dunleavy was (smartassedly) saying about kuminga's deal. if dalton truly wanted to demand out, he could maybe approach us with a very low buyout number for next year's contract, and we could consider that. but that ain't happenin', so he can just hope someone else wants to give up something we want for him.
