Luka doesn't jump 2 inches off the ground bro, putting him at 4 is a disaster waiting to happen. He is not Lebron, he doesn't defend 4's well at all in the paint. Luka actually holds his own on the perimeter when he's engaged IMO. Smith is a mismatch for Luka, McDaniels too.
NO..Vando and Laravia can't guard KD, or Randle, J. Williams, effectively..I haven't seen evidence of such. They can compete somewhat but those are not some kind of no big deal matchups.

I don't think I need to bring up the bigs but I will. Zubac, Hartenstien, Sengun, Jokic, Gobert, Wemby, Holmgren? We'd have a friggin problem with those guys..trotting out Hayes and Claxton brother. You are being extremely optimistic here, more like homeristic IMO. I think you guys truly underestimate how important Lebron is on our frontline. 41 years old and all that, he's still the best interior defender on this team.. We have a better shot at a chip with him than without him IMO.

OKC, SAS, MIN all lost today. It looks like the Suns are going to lose too. Not a bad day for us.

It is wild that it seems like every team sees the potential of Ellis but the Kings. They’ve learned nothing from the players they’ve let go over the last few years.

He looks like a scrub everytime we play them tho. Might be stagefright or something.

I think the Lakers have a shot at Ellis still as they have expirings to take in salary that others may not be able to

Knecht for Ellis makes too much sense..I wouldn't cough up a FRP for him though.

Derozan is only guaranteed 10M next season I believe, he might be on the move at the deadline. Probably to the Flippers

i don't understand this. luka does fine in the paint (better than perimeter, which is why teams try to get him out there so much) and is a very good defensive rebounder. mcdaniels is a bad matchup individually because he's a fast sf, not because he's a big pf.

nobody doesn't understand that losing lebron will hurt. everybody understands this. what the folks upset about lebron moving for cap space don't seem to understand is that if you're going to lose a player of this caliber, you can't do it while you're sitting over the cap and have only the mle to attempt to replace their production. no matter when lebron leaves, we were always going to be in trouble. having basically clean books when he does is the best of a bad situation.

yeah, would depend on how much they want me to eat. gabe/kleber/knecht for monk/ellis/eubanks works cap-wise and actually gives us some apron wiggle room for the buyout market. also, because knecht is outgoing, we don't add monk's full number to the cap sheet for the summer.

feel like the above scenaro *might* be possible, though sac's interest in kuminga and gs's interest in ellis could complicate things.

lol, the only reason i'd want to trade for derozan is stop him from killing us all the time. problem is that he plays other teams. also, if we made use of his partial guarantee, it would only intensify his hatred for us, at which point he would join the clippers on a vet min and beat us 4 times per year until his 50th birthday.

only hope here is that bey's performance makes herb jones's price go down, but i doubt it. bey is under contract at 6m next year, no way they move him for what we have to offer, imo, and i don't blame them.

Pretty fair deal for both teams - kuminga got zero trade value, Lakers take a shot on a young guy to see if a different environment would work out for him

I'd prefer a more win now trade but I could see the Lakers actually approaching the Warriors on this

They're not trading Kuminga for expirings + a 2nd and we're probably not going to offer any more than that

gs floating it as a warning to other teams, lol--if you're only offering a 2nd, that's what the lakers are offering, so up it!

The new CBA and definitely the Trae Young trade put a cabosh on any chance of any mid tier talent fetching any 1st round picks.

If GS is smart, they would start cleaning house and get anything they can get. Kuminga has more value in LA right now than in GS. Gabe Vincent has as much value as dried up bubble gum on asphalt but he's an expiring contract and so is Kleber. GS isn't going anywhere and they have nothing to give to salvage the season. Get a 2nd round pick and expirings and clear your heads of Kuminga once and for all.
