Kind of. His numbers are not great this year. I'm wanting the next Goodwin not that last KCP if that makes sense. Young, energetic, cheap, with legit ability to play D.

yeah, i agree. i just think that's a long-term planning/offseason option moreso than a trade deadline option. but if the latter is possible, yes, of course.

I think Jack is doing quite well for an 88 year old. He is walking with a cane and slowing down a bit, but overall he seems to be in good shape. Last year, his friend Danny DeVito was asked about him and said, “I just saw Jack a couple weeks ago, it was his birthday about a month ago, and he’s great,” according to People magazine.

Grant/Thybulle for Rui/Maxi/Gabe/Knect works. That makes a tough Lakers rotation

Damn Portland really makes sense as a trade partner but they just don't trade with the Lakers.

I’m gonna rant. Get your helmet on get ready. Abeer Slick this is directly at you. Get your opinions and please leave them.

Jeanie Buss needs to be gone from the Lakers as an owner completely. No management nothing. No 5 years mark takes over now.

this why I said. She needs to be gone. What’s the point??? They sold the team. She’s not Jerry. And she’s doing things that Jerry would never do.

this article by Baxter Holmes is scathing. Basically confirms all what we all said about Caruso and the money. Not wanting to pay the luxury tax.

im disgusted. We’ve got good things going with this team. And now we have to read that Lebron was basically forced on her. She didn’t want to sign him or resign him. We knew Westbrook was his fault. But you’re the owner. The buck stops with you. You didn’t have to do it. So is Klutch running the team or not Jeanie???

You cost us AD and Lebrons prime years winning championships here.

the Bronny stuff is petty as f***. So we’re doing make a wish draft now??? And Bronny was a gift for Lebron and he should be thankful???? This is an NBA team. Why embarrass the kid like that? Who’s in our locker room. Now Lebrons is pissed.

No Lebron didn’t come here because of you. He came here because it’s the Lakers and L.A. and he wanted to be in L.A. same reason Shaq came here.

enough is enough this is the same woman who ran Jerry West out of town and didn’t want him or allow him to come back. s*** who knows maybe Shai would be a Laker if Jerry West was here. But I digress. You mess up the brand with a hit piece like this.

so so glad Mark Watters bought this team. But why are you still here running it. You sound like a spoiled little girl. Why didn’t we get the credit for LeBron????? Who gives a f*** he came!!!! Now I see why they say you ran Jerry out of town and wouldn’t allow him back.

The s*** with your brothers we don’t need to hear it. It seems petty as f***ed. Personally I think it was done f***ed up.

But she’s gotta go.!!!!!!! Like now.

especially with Austin resigning. Players need to know that the new ownership is here front and center.

she’s done a lot for the organization but this s*** takes the cake. The LeBron s***. Now we know why he didn’t get the new contract we know why he was pissed but basketball wise it made sense not to sign him again. But the way it was handled was ridiculous. He did win a championship for this franchise. All the Luka LeBron stuff I get where it comes from now.

Damn Linda and Kurt got a piece of the team in the sale??? Nice.

She wanted to trade Lebron to the clippers. That’s Laughable. And we kept Bronnie over Goodwin cause that was a basketball move.

    nice article Jeanie.

I’ll never get why teams keep hiring Doc Rivers. Also, just ask for the trade already

Numbers have little to do with Vucevic, the classic perfect player for... NBA fantasy.

I don't mind him even in absolute terms, but he has nothing to do with being the starter on a team with minimal title ambitions. And in fact, his career speaks for itself: between Orlando and Chicago, he never seemed like a player capable of leveling up his teams, nor did he ever have the ability to challenge and challenge outside the box.

But defensively, he's simply poor, whether the team plays by switching on every switch or as a rim protector. He can shoot, he certainly has range, but he lacks the verticality to be a lob threat. He needs a huge amount of offensive play to put up the numbers he can put up.

And before you ask: yes, I've seen a lot of Vucevic's games. Also because, being European, I've seen him a lot with the national team.

a rock could've coached that 08 C Bags team to a title, yet doc rivers is still coaching in the year 2026 despite doing nothing but choke since then. it makes no sense

also, giannis just needs to demand a trade already. it's ok. the people of milwaukee will love you forever regardless

i feel like you're saying jeanie didn't want lebron in the first place, when it was really that jeanie (like most of us, tbh) grew weary of being under klutch's thumb and wanted out at the end. this is not at all surprising to me, and it's just something that was being dropped to the press to cause us problems.

and i actually think we handled it really well, all things considered. i truly think some gms/owners would have tried to get lebron to accept a trade out this summer (and it would have worked, too).

the buss family needs to be completely gone, and i don't think it will be five years before jeanie's gone. but again i must caution people not to overreact to an incredibly biased hit piece commissioned by scorned family members. you ever been near a family dispute?! yikes. holmes is pretty shameless here, imo.

between klutch and this, it's pretty clear that people are actively trying to sabotage this season for us. so that's fun.

well said Abeer. I knew she wanted LeBron. The marketing money made sense from a business perspective. But I don’t think she wanted to resign him and was trying to get rid of him. I dont like how she fired her brothers and family members. Joey and Jesse acted like they weren’t family and bastard childs. When they had a lot to do with alot of the scouting. And that’s not right her telling them they weren’t supposed to be born. That’s just evil s***. Sounds like a hostile takeover something you’d see in the social network. Clearly she’s in it for Jeanie.

this will be unpopular, but i think for the most part she was/is in it for the lakers. and nobody was really mad when she ousted jim and chaz and the crew.

another way to read this story is that the younger busses were sorta plotting a coup of their own (essentially pushing out the elders, waiting for them to die off, then running it fully on their own). the other three had wanted to sell for years because they no longer enjoyed owning the team, i think. when jeanie saw the writing on the wall, she figured she'd get her (and her loyal crew) their cash and bail rather than die and leave the whole thing to the younger brothers. sounds harsh, but if someone is offering me enough money to set my family for generations, and it comes at the cost of the dreams of my father's 30 years younger love children (who also get the same amount of money as i do!), i just don't know that i wouldn't do the same thing. if jerry truly wanted those two running it as they suggest, he should have been more proactive about setting that up. he clearly knew infighting would ensue, based on everyone's reports of his statements and actions.

in the end, selling the lakers was the best way to give the franchise a chance at maintaining its status, imo. i wished they'd sold much sooner. that was actually the selfish part, imo. the brothers are delusional thinking we could keep operating as a mom & pop shop and expect results anything close to what the fans demand.

We have the same topic going on in like two threads, lol.

    Plan A.) Giannis.

    Plan B.) Build around Luka/Reaves.

This year? Probably a marginal move.

    So we wait...

yeah, sorry, that's partially my fault. there's just not much happening on the trade rumor front.

i think the giannis thing is going to push the action until the very end, unfortunately. i can't imagine the deadline will be quiet, though, too many teams have too many things they need to do in terms of just getting guys off their rosters, tbh.
