i think dallas doesn't want to mess with kyrie/young and the decision it would require eventually. ironically, they had the right team if they wanted to just revert their draft night trade and move luka for trae instead of AD. but if the rumor mongers are to be believed, apparently people don't like playing with young, so you need a desperate team--someone who needs to sell tickets. a couple weeks ago, before the clippers flipped some sort of switch, i thought they were the spot for trae, but probably in the summer. now i think the list is even shorter, and dallas probably isn't on it.

but to me, if atlanta is willing to give up risacher, a 1st, and expirings for AD...i take it. right now before they change their mind. risacher may be underwhelming for a #1 overall pick, but he's already a playable nba forward at 20 years old. that's something to work with.

 

Simply put the Lakers need dogs just athletes.

charlotte would trade (josh) green for sure, and IN THEORY he's a guy we could really use. problem is he's 4 years into his career and remains theoretical. if they're getting knecht and gabe for him, i want a first rounder back with him.

 

You know what made the Clippers turn it around??? And I mentioned it. The spacing. Zubac clogs the lane up for Harden and Kawhi. They insert Lopez they keep winning and guys look like all stars.

because when Lopez is on the court there’s spacing. He goes to the three point line and now there’s room in the lane to drive. And you still have to defend his 3 as you saw he put 9 threes on Portland.

some things in basketball is common sense. The Lakers have an athletic problem. Get the young guys on the perimeter young active guys and it will be solved.

That's who ATL would want back in exchange for Trae, and I wouldn't do it. Trae is overrated, IMO. No thanks.

We're probably going to max Austin, too. I think Utah is going make us, IMO. The emergence of Keyonte, a healthy Kessler back next year, Lauri, etc. Ainge is going after him, IMO.

Fair enough speculative point, but that doesn’t take away the fact that the Warriors were dominating everyone, including Durant’s team, the season before he joined them. Their 2015-16 season is considered one of the All Time best in NBA history. Durant joined the summer after.

 

And LeBron would probably win 5 or 6 championship,or Houston playing in finals and god forbid Harden would win his championship

Durant made 1 Finals and 3 other WCFs before he left for GS but just lost to better teams each time. The 2016 Game 6 is the only one where I thought they lost because he in particular played badly. I've always hated Durant, but I think it's a little ridiculous to say he had to join GS to win.
