Lavine is the best you’re going to get in a trade without having to give up alot.

You still get to keep your main pieces while getting Lavine.

I can talk myself into Lavine though I don’t want us to do that.

Ellis isn't starting over Lavine. JJ isn't giving heavy minutes in the playoffs to Smith, Ellis or Thiero ether or Hayes..We are going to have a 6th man rotation in the playoffs? I don't believe it. I thought I was the overly optimistic person around these parts. We'd have to snag two starter caliber players on the buyout market!

OKLAHOMA CITY -- Oklahoma City Thunder center Isaiah Hartenstein will miss time after straining his left calf for the second time this season.

Hartenstein was ruled out of Monday's game against the Atlanta Hawks after exiting Sunday's win over the Philadelphia 76ers late in the third quarter.

denver has been faring ok when he sits this year due to valanciunas, but it's a big ask for him to do that in double or triple the minutes.

lucky they avoided a serious injury, though. i was beginning to think jokic was basically indestructible, lol. never played fewer than 69 games in a season.

Yes good to hear it’s not too serious with Jokic. I never root for other guys to get injured . . . Except for Dillon Brooks and Pat Bev.

Nick smith jr. Can be the Lakers young scorer. He’s essentially Malik Monk without having to give all that up. And you know what he reminds me of Malik Monk when he came here. He’s young 21 has skill and can score. Just go out there and score. Reminds me of a player I was around Marcus Thornton.

we need that young youth. Go make a name for yourself kid and go get paid. Austin did it.

Yes, very good to hear. This guy is basically indestructible. It was a scare, but ultimately, he'll be fine. I hope his team loses some games in the next month or so!

i know we all love dennis here, but i feel like he's shown over and over that he's best suited as the top dog on a bad team.

i want to believe, but there's just SO MUCH evidence that the role we want him to play, he can't play.

i wonder which team says no to a vando/schroder swap? probably us, tbh.

I would do Schroeder + Ellis for Kleber + Gabe + 2nd. We're taking Schroeder's next 2 years, when he will be 33 and 34 - small guards don't classically do well when they're old.

    Ellis / Schroeder
    Reaves / Smart
    Luka / LaRavia
    Lebron / Vando
    Ayton / Hayes

Leaves us with Rui + Knecht + 1st to trade for an upgrade at the SF position.

    Which is strange
He's dog and MVP in FIBA basketball, currently Germany is Euro and world champions, but can't sustain any level of play in NBA . Sacramento has Westbrick, doing same
,but Lakers basically has no one to substitute Luka or Austin unless he's traded ,,so maybe he can play Gabe's role and he is not injury prone

fiba's a different game, imo. shorter three (plays to his advantage), athletes are a cut below, hoop iq a cut above nba, shorter games, etc.

spain's had a ton of guards over the years that looked great in international play (fernandez, llull, garcia) and meh to garbage in the nba. hell pepe sanchez (not a fake guy) was a really good international guard. sarunas jasikevicious was a god in fiba play! couldn't make it as a backup on the pacers.

anyway, i'll reiterate that i understand why people like dennis (he's an absolute dawg in the best way), but i just can't ignore the full decade+'s evidence that he doesn't help you win unless you're trying to go from 18-64 to 28-54.
