“The theory of a Luka/Austin team will always be Top 5 offense, Top 15 defense.”
A top 15 defense is a poor one. Anywhere in the 10-15 range is not a Championship caliber squad.
Every Championship Squad is in the top 10 defensively.

Maybe..Idk..I'm skeptical of anointing guys as the next big thing off a small sample size of actual pt. If we got Ellis and Wiggins, Wiggins is the one that would start and play more minutes.

Rui isn't trash..nether is Dalton. For whatever reason..Sacramento and Miami want to move those two guys. Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.

I don’t think the Kings send us two first rounders back, maybe one.

I also don’t think Heat accept a trade for Wiggins without a first. And the most we could do is two seconds.

Gianiss if traded will be traded to the Lakers. I absolutely believe the Lakers will trade Reaves for Gianiss if they can.

They won’t think twice about it.

Reaves and Luka are nice. Their games do overlap and I think everybody in that locker room loves him. But Gianiss is Gianiss a superstar who is in the Anthony Davis tier of must have player.

Thiero come along fast because you gotta learn on the fly.

Rui gone Vincent gone Knect Gone all of them gone. Vando

Lebron is a diminished player who simply can’t defend. It’s not his fault he just can’t move.

Reddick went at Lebron. He embarrassed him in the media and see if that worked. Reddick put his job on the line. Trying to get through to LeBron. At this point I don’t think LeBron is motivated to win a championship on this team. Cause it’s not his it’s Luka’s. He’ll say all the right things but the championships with AD Thad’s his. And that’s what he wanted to accomplish. It’s never been the same with the organization when they traded AD cause they went away from Klutch and that’s it. No trust!!!!! No b*******. Don’t get mad at me. I’m just passing the message.

Lebron through this whole team back when he came back. We can all ballwash him but until he’s off the team it’s a hostage situation.

But all that Jeanie Buss b******* old superstar get your stats here era is done.

Theres no way the Sacramento Kings want to make the Lakers better. They’re just getting Ellis value up.

It suck’s the Lakers didn’t get Mark Williams and I said it here. I don’t know what f***ed that trade up.

Ayton has been a nice stop gap and find. I’m not sure if this ownership group wants to sign him.

I’ll give you everything I know about Mark Walters. It’s all superstar. Ohtani Mookie Betts Freddie Freeman. Guys who build culture. Grinders. Who want to really get in there.

who’s that in the NBA??? Gianiss Jokic

So they’re gonna make sure they get those players.

Can Reaves and Luka play together? They both need the ball. I think Austin Reaves resigns here.

What they’re not telling you is we need Lebron to leave here so we can build the team we really want to build.

you just want to acquire talent. Michael Porter Jr. is talent. And a catch and shooter and small forward.

Keon Ellis will be signed here as a free agent and will be a top priority.

Here’s some tough talk for people in here.

Rob Pelinka and Klutch set us back with their boneheaded picks.

let’s look Hood Schefino over Jamie Jaquez one of the worst non picks in Lakers history. See that’s an example of a talker and not scout taking a bad player over a really good player, Jerry West never does that.

s*** Devan George was drafted out of Augsburg and developed into a really good small forward around Kobe and Shaq and had a great 2001 one of the best small forwards in the league until injuries caught up to him.

Rob the Bronny James selection over Jordyn Goodwin is disgusting. Another Caruso ThT

Goodwin would help us tremendously he’s doing good for Phoenix.

I’ll give him Austin but that’s it. Luka trade okay great job. But damn trading Christie we need that. And you can give him credit for developing that.

Unless it’s Ellis or Jones two players the Lakers are obsessed with. They won’t give up draft capital. So ride it out and keep up the flexibility.

The Lakers will keep the flexibility for 2027 and 2028.

I want to thank LeBron for a great championship run. Rebuilding our credibly. He did a lot. That man did alot. But it’s run its course and at this point. Kiss babies and shake hands cause all this is is a world tour. Lebron world tour.

The team will respond great tomorrow against the Kings.

It’s been real guys. Go Lakers!!!!!!!!!!

Andrew Wiggins is realistic and something I can see the Lakers doing.

Rob’s gonna go out like a G because his job is on the line. A putting it all on the line trade I see happening is

Austin Reaves Rui Hachimura Vanderbilt Vincent the 2032 1st round draft pick unprotected a 2nd round pick and Knect.

To Memphis Jarren Jackson Jr. that’s who the Lakers have their eye on. If they have to take Ja Morant back to get it done they will. Maybe Jaydon Wells. Something like that. Lawndale.

They’re gonna try to shake this s*** up. Rob is going to be aggressive. Mark didn’t hire Rob but if s*** doesn’t change he’ll make a huge play at Sam Presti he doesn’t mind giving him $150 million to run everything. Chump change to him. And there’s no salary cap for GMs and executives. Stay tuned.

also Masai uri lurking. When I look at the athletic black guys. I’m just being blunt what you see on the Rockets. That’s Masis specialty coming from NBA Africa which he helped start.

guys like OG Anouby and Pascal Siakm who played at New Mexico State and Scottie Barnes those are all Masai guys. And Mark is going to want to find a guy who can tap into that pipeline and develop.

So come January there are going to be a lot of trades and Robs not f***ing around.

Malik Monk also should be coming here soon to the Lakers we need some extra scoring and he will help being next to Luka. The Sacramento situation is horrible and I think Change of scenery will be good for Monk on the Lakers.

Of the last 25 NBA Champions, 22 ranked top 10 in defensive rating. The ones who didn't were the 2023 Nuggets (15th), 2018 Warriors (11th), and 2001 Lakers (22nd). The Milwaukee Bucks currently rank 21st

What exactly is your point? I said the goal for a Luka/Austin team should be elite offense (Top 5) and good enough defense (Top 15). You said Top 15 isn't good enough, and I said the Nuggets just won that way. So thanks for backing up my point? Yeah obviously most champions are top 10 on both sides of the ball. But most champions two best players aren't below-average athletes at their positions. When that is the case, like it is with us, maybe you have to follow a bit of a different formula. Which the Nuggets just did and are still doing!

I might want to ask the Pelicans what they want for Zion and if its doable then ask the Bucks how they would feel about an AR Zion package for Giannis

That's really selling low on AR, almost using him as filler, considering what he is making this year if we trade him before he jumps to whatever next level of salary. If he were to wind up having to be traded.

You’re probably right I’m just trying to limit the draft capital since the Lakers don’t have a lot to throw out there

Giannis doesn't solve anything. There's only one ball and all 3 of our main guys are best on-ball and best at defending PF's.

Giannis makes sense with no Lebron in a team where Luka can be hidden on defense. To be honest, Reaves, Luka and Giannis actually work quite well if you can add a good POA defender and a decent center that can space a bit for Giannis.

I’d take Malik Monk if you can get him for a 2nd and Gabe Vincent.

i think tonight's game is bigger than a normal late december game, tbh. if we drop one at home to sacramento, i could see something drastic happening.

but i'm not quite as phased by the recent events as most. the team was overachieving early--many of us admitted this--and that was fun. the flaws are what we thought they would be, and once again, we're 6 weeks out from the trade deadline knowing that our current personnel can't compete for a title.

i'm still on team "patience", though. we've got luka and reaves and basically full roster flexibility in front of us. be careful what you wish for in terms of foundation-shaking.
