Sacramento is discussing trade for Monk and Kuminga and GSW isn't interested


As of right now, it no longer seems like the Sacramento Kings are a realistic option for a Kuminga trade before Feb. 5 unless another team with the assets Golden State wants is involved. The Warriors continue to signal that they don't want Malik Monk, who has been made available in trade talks since July. There is virtually no interest in Monk around the league because of his contract.
Can Lakers get him for Gabe,Kleber and some pick possible

 

well the Lakers don't have any interest either unless you throw in another one of your benchwarmers say Keon Ellis and now we can talk Vivek

I would sign Ellis and let him and Thiero be my perimeter defense next to Luka and Reaves.

 

I'm down with that, but we should also try to get something for a Rui. Luka and Reaves should be the only non perimeter defenders the team, but we still have Bron, and then we are adding Monk in this scenario. Need to take Rui out at this point. That's why I don't kind just sending Rui to SAC and either put some protection on the picks or send Rui somewhere and get a better defender. Rui is an elite percentage / moderate volume 3 pt shooter at this point, but he can't defend. That's a luxury ti have if u are already healthy defensively. We can't afford that luxury at thai point so Rui has to go. 33% 3 pt moderate to high volume 3 pt shooter who could at least play average defense > Rui.
