2 f***ing embarrassing losses in 3 games. They got a little high on their own supply.

Need to play with a lot more energy and have much better gameplan instead of Luka pound the rock and create all the time

 

We can get a bit spoiled, when those shots are dropping tho. Off night from him and Austin.

 

It’s ridiculous the product they put out on the court for national games. This is why they talk about Baseball over Basketball the players play. They buy in on games. Man some games these teams just check out. Sacramento game is a blowout to.

 

Luka is like Kobe, he hits a lot of bad shots, probably at a higher clip than Kobe TBH. They weren't dropping tonight. We can still go at least 3-1 to close out this road trip. Then we get LeBron and the rookie, into the mix for the 4 game home stand.

 

I get where you're coming from but something about this Luka offense just seems off to me. I don't know if I got my finger on what I'm trying to say completely but here are is what is concerning me.

Luka would rather take a tough shot after he's picked up his dribble for example at the top of the arc. He's got to trust his teammates there to either start the chain to string out the D or simply give him a chance to reset. The defense doesn't scramble enough the way this offense works. In other words Luka is great at getting people open looks off his passing and his passing alone but the offense is a whole is not taking advantage of the defense being shifted towards him. The hockey assists are just not there.

Plus with the Luka isos compared to say a younger Lebron or Kobe just not enough rim pressure for my taste. The mid range if you don't get the call just leaves your team in a lurch


I don't know he's scoring a s***load of points but in these losses the offense looks like it's really struggling. The bad offense is messing up the defense. I'm not confident in my take but something just feels off watching these games

 

Lebron fixes a lot of that. There will be some folks that don't want to hear this, but James is still our 2nd best player, and the degree of separation between he and Luka, isn't as wide as some folks think.

What I'm getting at, is that James balances out, some of quirky stuff, that comes with Luka's offensive game. Right now, if Luka is having an off night, Austin and Rui must be on point. If not we are going to struggle to score.

However there are some teams, that have the size and length, to challenge those two guys on offense. Even at 40, there really aren't any teams, that can affect Lebron in the same manner. This opens up Rui and Austin, to get higher quality shots, even when Luka is off.

Luka is rarely off, for long stretches though, but it can happen. We'll be ok, Ayton and Smart, are the missing pieces we needed, to augment Luka, Austin and Lebron. That trio is what makes us a contender IMO.

sometimes Luka is going to have to let Austin Run the offense. And it’s okay.

why Austin has had some off nights is because it is hard to adjust to player as ball dominant as Luka. He’s like James Harden he is the system.

at some point they are going to have to figure it out because this is how it’s going to look in the playoffs.

this is what makes JJ Reddick Phil Jackson not the wins. You have to get these guys to buy in. It’s what made Riley Riley.

James Worthy was the number 1 option on a team with Michael Jordan. What made big games James so great he accepted Being a number 3 option for winning championships with Magic and Kareem. He could’ve said get me outa here and let me average 30.

Luka this is what I mean. Embrace that Magic role and win 5 championships here.

We can’t win having Luka be Kobe. We win having Luka be Magic. My opinion. Kobe was good enough to do it because he was a two way player and he had Shaq.

And when LeBron comes back. His challenge is being Draymond Green playing defense. Running the offense getting the ball to everyone. Like Draymond would do on those warrior teams. Only thing is this Draymond can get you 25 and hit threes.


If he embraces that we can win a championship. The key is buy in.

 

Just my opinion. Let’s hope Houston beats OKC or Golden State beats OKC or Minnesota Beats OkC or Denver beats OKC. I don’t like the matchup and I don’t like the pace. They’ll run us off the court 4-2.

We can play at Houston’s pace. I don’t like us playing this team. Hopefully we get a different bracket than them.
