I don’t think anyone was too harsh with kobeluka, what I mean by a cruel place is, you can say something truthful and then have people laugh at you. That kind of stuff doesn’t happen in real life, as there is more context and communication cues.

Although the name dropping is done so blasé, so and so told me I know a lot and I’ve caught flights with x and y, also this legend gifted me this and that. It’s a bit hard to believe. But I also assume people wouldn’t believe half the players I’ve warmed up. So who am I to judge.

I’m just concerned about making another trade for one more piece and seeing Kleber shine.

    doesn't this make sense?

though, imo, kobenluka's presence here isn't really about who he is outside the forum. just seems like a guy who likes the lakers and likes to talk hoops. if he does or doesn't know klay thompson doesn't impact my interactions with him. if he starts claiming to know a trade is in the works bc he knows klay thompson, i become invested in his identity.

It’s looking like maybe with switching Koloko’s 2-way to Drew Timme …. that HE might be stealing Maxi’s shine? Although Maxi may be a better defensive player (?) Drew can score the ball and stretch the floor at similar size and weight, and a whole bunch younger.

Hope that Maxi can start to show some of his old game though as we need to get something of value for his expiring contract at the deadline.

We should be able to win against the Hornets without him but with our difficulties playing there over the years I won’t be shocked by a loss.

Hoping Atlanta was a wake up call

I honestly think we really are close. I feel like last years team was doomed by not having a real big, JJ being a new coach, Luka adjusting to being here, etc. This team is showing a lot already and we don’t have LeBron yet. Bring in a couple more solid role players and I do like us against anyone. We’ve always played OKC well and the other teams have come back to earth.

If we are healthy heading into the playoffs I expect us to be a force.

I provided my proof and credentials. It’s all good. I just thought it would be good to give you some inside. Being part of the NBA coming up it was interesting. Thought it would be fun to share with you and just have you enjoy. It’s just me reflecting.

nothing to lie about. I’ve explained instances and occurrences.

I’ve chatted with Kobe many times before games in the tunnel. And Magic was literally around when we would arrive to arena.

as I’ve stated before Jeanie called me to get her boyfriend on a show we were developing Phil Jackson and said her and Phil would do it.

Jeanie called me after her marketing director met me. It’s no big deal.

these aren’t flexes just my experiences. Like summer league was like our meeting ground everything Baskrball coaches GMs players etc.

that’s just part of it. We had fun All star weekend in Vegas. Lots of parties no big deal.

I saw Stephen A. Smith at Kenny Smiths NBA all star party I didn’t say a word to him. I don’t bother people. So none of it was a big deal to me.

I was pushing for Klay to get his workout and his dad told me we better pick his son. I didn’t even know Mychal and he came up to me.

so it was just part of the league. I talked to Kawhi after his workout cause he was a L.A. dude.

I didn’t talk to all the guys after the workouts. Just my L.A. dudes I knew like Jrue Holiday and Brandon Jennings.

I’m pretty documented who I am. Nothing to hide. Kids talk sports ran on CBS in 2001 I’m part of the CBS alumni group.

I’m sure others in here have accomplishments. Do you. I just flexed when people call me out.

I’ve been the same way since I was a kid. If it’s bull I’m gonna call it out. And if I’m being called a liar that’s b******* I’m gonna call it out.

so you see people it’s part of work. I haven’t been in the league since 2013. So I’m always down to talk hoops with people.

I feel same. I think we match up a little better with OKC (size of Luka/LeBron as playmakers to counter their smaller swarming defenders) and Denver (Luka uniquely capable of shredding the P&R coverage Jokic prefers) than some of the other West contenders. Right now there 6.5 guys I trust in a playoff series - Luka, LeBron, Austin, Rui, Smart, Ayton and maybe Jake. We need at least one more, ideally two.

What got me in the league was doing player assessments on players.

just what I see who he reminds me of. Players that would be good for our team to pick in college. They just are recommendations. I’ve done this on all kinds of players Brook Lopez Jordan Farmar. Lots of guys in the pac 12z who was in my region.

Advice I would give watch tape. Watch games. Go to summer league. Go to games. And don’t be too proud to give your opinion. And believe in yourself.

the way I got my first show. They had 500 kids just get in a room and talk sports and I talked sports and that’s how I got hired. I would call radio shows. Just made sure I was getting my voice in many places.
