Nutty: you fly LA-to-POR for a BTB on the road, no AR/Luka/Lebron: still win.

This was the Nick Smith Game: not that he won't do this again, but this was the game when he came out. We saw he was a baller. Oh hell yea.

do we even have room on the bench for an aging Lebron taking away time from our future stars?

    Just finished the game.
Man, the Portland play by play guys were just awful. They spoke about every one of their players(except for Drew) like they were the best to ever don a Portland uni. Then, hilariously, after we took a six point lead, they starting saying that their players weren’t “playing hard.” No, they just shot 8-235 from three instead of playing smart basketball and our guys started to heat up.
They were very good defensively on ball, but had no answers for our bigger players.
Camara is the exact type of player you surround Luka and Austin with. Too bad he makes so little and they would never trade with us. Since non of their players shoot mid range, Rui would actually be a great fit for them.

Meh..we are pretty damn good, as is. I would still try, to flip Gabe and Kleber, for Vucevic . He's balling right now, but a lot can happen between now and the trade deadline. I'm greedy, adding a legit stretch 5, opens up even more line up versatility. That's a title favorite.

We copied Phoenix in containing Wemby, I thought Wemby already know how to counter it by now, apparently not

Just an ugly game - so many ticky tack fouls

the luka centric offense can look very very clanky at times. really need to put Luka in different spots at times: post him up or focus on getting guys shots like Rui whose jumper has been on

smart, ayton, laravia have completely changed the defense from last few years - these guys are tough

the youth really pops up at times. on the obvious charge on Rui he just needed to pull up. everyone talking about getting him closer to the basket but he you can trap him there and he can get flustered: really bad TO when he started with his back to the basket. So that's one reason they keep him at the FT line corners so much

I meant to say we copied the Phoenix strategy game in containing Wemby, we’ve been doing to Wemby since last year, even Jokic

Weird game. I thought Lake Show looked off much off the time, but they still won. Refs called too many fouls.

Champagnie misses the first with 0.2 left, down 2, then you think every Laker boxes out like mad on the 2nd, but it almost got tipped in to force OT.

I like how we contained Wemby. There was one play when he went through everyone for 90 feet and slammed it: he's so looooong it will always look weird to me. A guy that thin and 7'4" dribbling like a madman, covering 8 feet with every stride up the court. Man...

Luka 35/13/9 with 5 steals. Only 33% from the field, but when we were down 9 with 7 mins left, you liked that he was on our side.

Lakers beat Spurs at Crypt, 118-116 in a game I thought we'd lose 'cuz AR was still out with a groin issue.

Long trip now: ATL, CHA, OKC, NO, MIL, not back home until the 18th.

7-2 after starting off 0-1. 5 straight. Seems a little too good to me. What's the catch? What angle is the universe playing on Laker fans like me? It's almost like I don't know how to act anymore when they look this good. It's like something's gotta give: what?

Crazy game, crazy finish, playoff atmosphere, gritty comeback win from a double digit deficit in the third, sketchy refs, nutty all in all and we certainly could have lost it, but we pulled it together and came through. Pretty impressive.

Yeah. Crazy game but another one we lose for sure in the past.

Every win we get right now with an incomplete roster is something to celebrate.

This. We're winning games we haven't over the past 2-3 years. That's huge.

We're a B- trade away from being a lot more competitive. We absolutely need an additional, dependable rotation player.

We’re way ahead of schedule IMO and have won several games we would’ve lost by 20 even just last year.

The team and coaching staff have great chemistry right now.

I think we can go 2-2 on the road. Especially since Reaves will play in some of those.

We all would’ve easily taken a 9-4 record before the season if we’d been told we wouldn’t have LeBron at all and Luka and AR would miss several games.

If folks aren’t happy with the team right now they are just looking for reasons to be upset IMHO.
