Aight. I'm fu**** with you most of the time, but I can't be mad at you. I like you too much for that.
So, how much better was West and Goodrich, or Magic and Scott, or Kobe and Fisher?? Luka and Reaves is a pretty god danged good backcourt!! With Magic and Scott, we had Cooper as the 3rd guard. So, we need a Cooper type as our third guard. Luka and Reaves are at that level, they just need to mesh a bit more and I have no doubt they will. Nobody is going to listen to this drivel anymore, AR has gotten better every single year. You wait for people to fail and, truth is, most people do eventually, so you have history on your side. But, remember, there were guys who thought Kobe was trash early on. I remember people saying he would crash in the league. Luka is a pure stud, AR is a solid 2nd or 3rd who is capable of being a lead when needed. That is a huge credit to him. He is a team guy who is more than happy to be the third option on a team with 2 other superstars. His ego is not too big for the team. Another solid attribute. I love our starting 5 and we have some good role players. I actually think our spot of need is as a backup to Lebron and Rui. A 3 and D wing with muscle, who could help cover the key with DA and Lebron. Our guard rotation is mainly AR, Luka and Smart. That is elite man, not sure why you cannot appreciate it. Talk to us about other teams 3 guard rotations who are going to destroy us? Ayton is solid, but there are centers who can dominate him but not a lot and he can even give guys like Jokic some competition, he will make them work. Rui, lacks speed on defense and some of the better forwards can work him. However, he can give us 15+ ppg and cause some problems in the lane. Lebron has to be dialed in, he can watch forwards and centers pass him by with ease while going into the lane uncontested, or he can be motivated and really give a lot of guys problems. He is capable buy not always motivated. The front court is our weakness, not our backcourt. Jake and Vandy have pros and cons but neither is a dominant factor. Rui is good but not a dominant factor. Lebron can be a dominant factor but his time has to be heavily managed. If we could get a solid dominant big forward, we would be playing for the championship.
I mean, this is just total BS. Said about a guy who averaged over 50 ppg for a whole season. Come on. Ignore silly comments.
Suckramento Queens say: God dang it!@!!!!!!@#!@$@#%$ Every dang time we push Reaves off the court we get called for a foul!! When are some of those calls gonna go our way?????
i think he can put up 25 if lebron's not here, but if lebron is, there just won't be enough shots. i'd prefer lebron being here, of course, but going forward, yes, i don't see why luka can't average near 30 and reaves near 25. that's plenty from your top offensive options.
Well, when you take it to the hoop, instead of always settling for mid range J’s, against an awful defense, this is what happens. He’s just as crafty as Shai, without all the foul baiting and on most nights, doesn’t get MVP calls.
Impressive. Mustering up the energy for this after last night while facing the pressure and traps these blazer defenders were hitting him with. Props.
I was expecting another step of improvement from AR since he has improved every year. But this is not that. He is playing at "arrived" level. He has already proven he can play a very productive complementary role next to Luka, and in these last two games he has averaged 46 in the lead role. Luka is a player that gets dinged up and to have a guy that can step into Luka's role when needed and be virtually as productive as Luka is insane.
When I was originally comparing Austin to Nash I was undervaluing him...lol. Luka/Austin, two MVP level players and LeBron as a high level role player when healthy will be difficult to defend. We have the defenders to keep improving as well. I like it.
Another aspect about Reaves game is he's a killer at the FT line and one of the best at getting to the FT line as well. Almost Steph Curry-like efficiency. He'll have streaks where he's 22/23 from the FT line. I don't expect this scoring efficiency from Reaves to stay what it is. 57% from the field and 45% from three is just unrealistic. But I do think if he had his own team and you built around him, he could 100% be a 28/6/9 player. Reaves reminds me a lot of Devin Booker and quite frankly, they're probably in the same tier of players right now. I'd give the advantage to Booker for having the consistency long-term but I do believe that skill-wise, they are right there with each other which would put Reaves in the top 15-20 players in the league. Tier 1: Shai, Jokic, Giannis, LeBron, Luka, Curry, Wemby Tier 2: Durant, Tatum, Kawhi, Davis, Brunson, ANT Tier 3: Booker, Kyrie, Reaves, Ja, Mitchell, Maxey
