Wasted a great start by Sanchez. That's going to be tough to overcome, but hopefully the bats at the top of the order can come alive.

Straham tipped his pitch on the HR. Bummer.

Thompson being badly outcoached. Castellanos one of the worst baserunners on our team, one of the worst fielders. Why not pinch run for him? Likely cost at least a shot in extra innings.

    Great starting pitching this series.

sorry @trodgers that was a heart breaking way to lose this series man. As @puffyusaf#2 says, it really was a game of inches and moments that really decided this.

Great pitching this game 4 but some questionable decisions by both managers. Glasnow looked good, but to take him out at 83 pitches when its a deadlock was certainly a choice. Sheehan coughs up a run; I don't see why this guy is relied upon to begin with.

Then Duran comes in in that fateful 7th and to decide to walk Ohtani, who has been terrible this series, I think was a big mistake.

Big shoutout to Roki Sasaki for pumping out 3 clutch innings to keep it tied. Hopefully that mistake by Kerkering doesn't linger for him long term.

Yeah. That was a tough way to end it all, especially because they had three chances to end that inning. Kerk doesn't bobble it, he throws to first, or they appeal the missed home plate. But, as they say, it is what it is. Wishing you guys luck. Ohtani is still my favorite non-Philly.

Well that NCLS game 1 was another semi heart attack game lol

Blake Snell was absolutely phenomenal. One of the best playoff pitching performances I've ever seen. That 404 feet double play was so BS but oh well; feel that stupid tall wall helped him make the play, but terrible base running by Teo.

Roki returned back to earth in the 9th with lack of command, looking like his early regular season. Roberts relies on Treinen who didn't look bad but lucky Turang jumped out of the way on that sweeper.

I hear you about heart attack time once Snell went out. What a great freaking performance he gave us. And he gave us 8 innings and we added another run to make it a 2-0 game. But what was supposed to be a great bullpen with the new money spent has been nothing but arsonists and yes Roki returned to earth and lost his control. I thought that game was going to be lost at the end there. Props to Roberts for pulling him and to Treinen for finishing. Barely. Can't use Kershaw again either, can we? I don't know how we win this series and the WS with that bullpen. Only chance is if our hitters can step up and stop leaving so many men on base, and then the starters going at least 7-8 innings with each outing being dominant like Snell was tonight. Brewers had some great plays made in the outfield.

You're right about the hitting. Ohtani has done nothing aside from drawing IBB, but we are getting hits. It looked like we cracked their code but that stupid double play didn't let us blow things wide open.

To be fair, Yamamoto can certainly go 7-8 innings when he's on and then we got Glasnow/Ohtani waiting. I think Kershaw is a last resort since it looked like elder abuse when he came out vs the Phillies and he's infamous for being bad during these times. We should give Roki some grace since he carried us in that 3 innings and had a bleeding index finger blister.

I think we've said enough over how this bullpen is awful, but let's hope they can find a hot streak. The volatility can go both ways for relievers.

What a performance from Yamamoto. Thought things may have look bleak with that first pitch home run but damn he locked in. We are literally bringing back baseball to the 90's and 00's with super reliance on starters.

The offense showed up in spades and I'm glad Max got his revenge HR today. Even Pages and Ohtani finally got some RBIs! The Hernandi always come in clutch when it matters.

Hopefully Glasnow and Ohtani can continue the crazy starting pitching at home.

    Amazing performance by Yamamoto, wow.

The coaching staff decided to address the bullpen problem by keeping the starter on the field as long as possible: Snell played 8 innings in Game 1, then Sasaki came on (who is playing very well as a closer).

Not a good postseason by Ohtani, unless at the moment.
