There is multiple ways to win. The reason why some of the teams have won with multiple bigs is because they can make them work with modern defensive principles and proper spacing.

The reason we didn’t win with AD and Lebron after the bubble is too fold. They got injured too often. And when they were healthy, it was clear AD wasn’t a 1st option offensively and Lebron could no longer carry the offence for 36-40 mins a game.

Luka can. And LeBron will probably be the best second option he’ll ever have (health permitting). So I like our chances.

Where this team is weak is not offensively, but defensively. Everyone is slotted the wrong way defensively and that’s why some of us are asking for a POA defender so Luka or Reaves don’t have to guard them. It’s also why I’m asking for Herb Jones, sick that guy on whoever 1-4 and watch him make life tough.

Ideally, Rui and Reaves to the bench for a year for two defenders probably balances this team out well with Lebron, Luka and Ayton in the starting lineup while super charging our bench.

I don't know about this Lavaria kid, but I'd assume that Luka and Lebron, are both thrilled with the Ayton pickup. And are waiting to see, what else we come up with.

See...I like that idea..and I like the fact, that you understand, that isn't a knock on those two young men either. It's about what's best, for the TEAM.

A good way to drive Austin to another team in July is to bench him in a contract year. It probably isn't the best idea.

Not for him personally. There in lies the rub. The question is...Is Austin really a 40 min guy?

Lebron isn't built for 40 min playoffs games anymore IMO. That's understandable...he's 40.

Very good post, except that only Rui needs to go to the bench. POA defender, Austin, Luka, LeBron, Ayton slots everyone well enough defensively. If Austin is on the 2nd best 1-2, he can hold his own.

"In basketball, usage rate (or usage percentage) is a statistic that estimates the percentage of a team's possessions a player uses while on the court. It essentially measures how often a player is involved in a team's offensive plays, whether by shooting, assisting, or turning the ball over, according to a YouTube video on NBA betting tips.A higher usage rate generally indicates a player is more involved in the team's offense."

For a more detailed breakdown, google does a good job of breaking it down further, but it's too much to post here.

Beal's usage rate by the year: https://www.statmuse.com/nba/ask/brad-beal-usage-rate-by-year

His highest year in Washington; the average NBA usage rate is 20 percent. His last two years are a little above 22 percent after a reduced role with better players, and injuries curtailed his role with Phoenix. As far as needing the ball in his hands to be productive: I don't think that's quite true, IMO. He could be used as an off-ball threat, moving off of screens, cutting, attacking closeouts, etc. Does he need the ball in his hands to be 'more' effective at this stage in his career given his health issues? I'm sure he'd like to think so; he has two primary questions on role and fit: health & defense, he's a liability. IMO.

That said, I'd take a gamble on Beal before LIllard.

What the heck ever happened to Stanley Johnson? That scrub needs to get his shot together (high 30's from three, IMO), and he might have a role in this league. Jeez. Perfect physical tools, he just can never stick, :(.

    that scrub breaks my heart...

We brought him back to our G- League team back half of last season.

Still mad we traded him for that human mosquito. He was better than Bev.

Looked like he maybe put it together with the Stockton Kings 2 years ago. Shot 41% on 5 attempts a game. Came here and you can guess what happened. Catered to 30%... just don't think the shot is in the cards for him.

Perfect for the BAE!!! Rob would get a ton of GM of the year votes, before training camp even started!

Yeah. I get his flaws. I wouldn’t want him at his full contract. But at the right price and especially in a 6th man role for scoring off the bench (big ifs on both but just message board GMing ) I am not against it.
