    What makes everyone think he’ll sign immediately.

    Clarkson announced his intentions as soon as he was bought out. Maybe Ayton hasn’t chosen yet. Or maybe we haven’t committed to him while we’re trying to make a trade happen.

    Great, we have a starting center. Now let's get DeAnthony Melton signed and start thinking about backup center. I'd honestly be fine with Hayes coming back as the backup.

    Actually I’d be good with Hayes as the 3rd string bit, but not the backup, we need to get better there, have a truly solid playable backup C for big games and in case of injury.

    Former number one pick basically dumped twice. We are digging through the trash for our starting center, but now we get to see if LeBron and Luka and Reaves can truly make mediocre talent look that much better.

    Color me skeptical as well until proven otherwise

    This is a really good addition IMO. Ayton is a head case but he was a really good NBA center (top 10 easy) just a few years ago. no major injuries, and he's hitting his prime. This is a guy you take a swing at.

    He's averaged 16/10 in the playoffs - all solid numbers

    basically traded DFS for laravia and ayton, using zero trade assets otherwise. i'm satisfied. let's see what else we have planned.

    had DFS been signed to that contract before we got him, people would say we got off it, imo.
