I want to be co conductor, Augustus is going to be amazing. I like what we have done with limited resources. We are to have AR and AM. AM is going to explode in the NBA.

How many rosters spots do we have? If he’s good I don’t want Sarunas’ son become another GPII or Scotty Jr, developed in our farm system and just let go

I think the script changed. We were in Bron/AD window and heavily investing in win now moves, as is Bron's approach. We were looking at a max 3 year window.

It changed as soon as we traded for Luka, our window is 7-10 year window. I believe we will invest heavily in developing guys who are cost-controlled and can become rotation players. We are already doing that with Goodwin, we tried the same with Koloko/Jemison and more will follow.

I think the last 3 roster spots + the three 2-way will be young guys to develop rather than the Wood/Reddish type of guys

I think this is a blessing. The way the new CBA is built, you need players over performing their contracts to get an edge and ultimately contend.

That's why I'm not sold on trading Reaves, even at 30m he'll out perform his contract.

Castle said they practiced 8 times last year.

    This makes no sense

Yeah, this CBA really changed the landscape. You really need to hit in a few role players earning below the MLE.
I was listening yesterday to Cam Johnson in the Young Man and the Three, and they were saying, and I agree, the 3-star model is dead. And it's all about depth and getting role players that impact the game in the 10-15 minutes they play. Indiana won a lot based on that, OKC wouldn't have made the Finals without random big contributions by Wiggins, Jaylin Williams or Joe.

As you can't be star heavy, it's all about depth and I love it. We will need 3 years to get to that level. Doesn't mean we can't win without it, but it will take time to reach that stage of depth

the three star model has been dead since the ink dried on the new cba. it's just not possible to fill out an 8-man rotation with three max guys. you end up forced to play one-way players, and the best teams will be able to exploit them eventually. this is why denver has probably been feverishly trying to split mpj into two players (with no takers). it's why memphis moved bane, too, imo.

i will also say that okc had the benefit of a long runway for all those bench players, too. kenrich williams, joe, and wiggins all got to be fairly meh guys on bad teams for years, and the patience paid off.

you need to have gms, coaches, star players, and fans who can all stomach that stuff, though. in okc's case, everyone was fine with it. here, i'm not sure any of those parties would be ok with using 4 roster spots on guys who are never going to be stars and you just hope will one day be good enough to give you 20 good minutes.

Yet Denver took OKC to 7 games, and Brooklyn was one of the worst teams in the league? I mean DAMN..you have absolutely NOTHING to say, about Westbrook shooting a higher pct from 3 than Tinkerbell?

It's a different league now, I saw where McHale said that teams don't even scrimmage anymore in training camp. It's mostly just shooting and conditioning drills.
