in fairness, they didn't have to worry about being competitive next year.

this is the thing i remind people about the "what if we had brad stevens" ideas--brad stevens gets to just lose next year, so he can pull this off.

normally jrue holiday and porzingis for niang and simons is a HUGE LOSS.

again, i am annoyed that eating 3 full years of holiday costs less than 1.5 years of westbrook. the laker tax is indeed real.

and if stevens or presti were here, they'd pay the same tax.

It's true, but Westbrook is a minimum bench player with a terrible.attitude. Holiday is a starting level team player who can mentor and make others better.

Capela for TP MLE makes much more sense to me than giving up assets for another mid-level center

Based on the current (evaporating) market, i don't think he's available for that. Maybe he's left without a chair in musical chairs but based on the center position being relevant again... doubtful.

We have the benefit that no one has a lot of money this year besides the Nets, who look bound to take a center in the 2025 NBA draft.

Capela should take a 1 year deal to prove he's the man (like Malik Monk, etc.) and then we can re-sign him or he gets a great deal in 2026 elsewhere.

Centers are relevant again. After Holmgren won the championship for OKC everybody wants the paint protected.

get Porzingis from Atlanta. Or maybe he negotiates a buyout.

I don’t know what really pisses me off Is we had a center Marcus Williams from Charlotte who gave us all that. Length size skill athleticsm age 23 and we gave it back.

We jumped ahead knowing what the center market would be.pulled a fast one and then put ourselves back.

Claxton Kessler Ayton everybody is going to be trying to get something from us.

Capella knows we need a Center. Hes gonna want 4 years 44 million.

Teams are haiting also because Mark Walter’s is our owner.

gonna be tough for teams to deal with us.

that’s why I bought up the expiring contracts.

I do think trading for Marcus Smart would be good a second rounder. He had some good games for Washington. Looks like another Rajon Rondo.

Porzingis can still help a team and we don’t have a center.

also I want the reclamation project of Jacob Wiseman. He should’ve been signed.

Why would they do that? East is wide open and now they're chasing NAW.

They're not going to be one of the punters in the East next year.

Here's what that means for them

A few things. San Antonio sees themselves as the next OKC very smart. They were gifted Fox. It’s still a joke they didn’t have to trade Castle for Fox. When we had to trade Davis and Christie for Luka. Dallas didn’t even give us Marshall back.

But back to San Antonio they’ll get their next Shai Dylan Harper.

what’s a joke is that San Antonio will have.

    Victor Wambyana
    Dylon Harper
    Stephen Castle
    Dearan Fox
    Devin Vassell
    Keldon Johnson
and their number 14 pick who will probably be the next Kawaii Leonard.

Yeah that’s NBA scary. Thank you Adam Silver!!!!!!!!

as for this draft I feel a Sam Bowie Blake Griffin theory just hear me the F out. Not calling Cooper Flagg Sam Bowie but teams thought Sam Bowie was the sure number 1 consensus and Jordan was the wildcard.

Blake Griffin was the sure thing. James Harden Stephen Curry were wildcards.

Now there’s a kid I love in this draft reminds me of Kobe Tre Johnson Texas. He doesn’t shoot the ball. He shoots the S outa the ball. I wish there was a way we could trade up for him. He’s that good. I just hope Utah doesn’t get him and he goes to Brooklyn or Washington. I guess Ace Bailey is going to Brooklyn.

I’m ranting. But here we are here the F we are.

And Atlanta has a Center the kid from USC why do they need Porzingis. Atlanta ain’t no contender.

It’s New York Miami Cleveland. And Milwaukee and Orlando.

It’s been something. Biggest Lakers news I’ve seen is Luka’s dramatic weight loss and conditioning. Which is great. Let’s get him a Center.

Hasn't shown sustainability as a high minutes player. Even as a starter they didn't want him really going over 30 MPG.

For the record, I don't think any team employing Trae will go anywhere. But East is open for business and you'll see a lot of teams talking themselves into trying to take advantage of next season's injuries...at least until Feb when they see they can't hack it.

While they're not a contender, how many people had Indy going to the Finals before the season? Close to zero.

Miami isn't contending. Riley lost the juice and there's a large contingent of ownership who's ready to rebuild. Neither is Milwaukee. They're short on horses without Dame.

The balsy thing is Dallas taking Dylan Harper over Cooper Flagg. They really need Dylan Harper more than Cooper Flagg.

Dylan Harper and Anthony Davis would be scary. And I would give Dallas a championship with that pick. I see Dylan Harper as a superstar in this draft.
